We had a really lovely stay at Carol’s shepherd’s hut. It was cosy and in such an idyllic location where we were able to fully wind down and relax for our stay. The added touches made a difference and Carol was proactive in her communication which was lovely. Thank you for a lovely stay!

We had such a lovely time at the shepherds hut, a perfectly peaceful and quiet get away - just what we needed! Great location for picturesque walks. We walked along Offas Dyke took 2.5 hrs straight from the hut. The local town had everything you needed only a short drive or 20 min walk away. We grabbed a takeaway pizza from Daphnes which was very delicious. Despite wet weather all weekend it did not dampen our spirits. The covered kitchen was a perfect location to cosy up and watch the thunder and lightning. It had everything you needed to make breakfast. The provided bread, bacon, eggs & milk were a lovely addition. The bed was very very comfy and the hut was clean, tidy & cosy. The hill up to the hut is steep but the provided wheelbarrow helped. Leaving in the rain was hilarious.

The location is a beautiful private field and the shepherd huts have everything you need for an amazing getaway. My son loved having a shepherd hut to himself and the pigs and goats close by were a bonus. The BBQ hut is a fantastic experience and a lovely way to cook together. All of the huts were very clean and had all cooking utensils & resources needed, plus extra thoughtful touches. We loved our stay so much.

Emily’s place was an ideal getaway, secluded, clean, peaceful the perfect place to unwind for a few days, the hot tub made it extra special, all communication with Emily was excellent, would definitely recommend, will definitely be returning, thank you Emily.

Amazing stay at Toms Hut, very tranquil and a truly relaxing experience away from the hustle and bustle, the amenities for cooking and the hot tub was a great addition. The scenic surroundings provided a perfect backdrop for unwinding and reconnecting with nature. Each morning, I enjoyed a peaceful cup of coffee on the deck while listening to the soothing sounds of chirping birds and rustling leaves. In the evenings, soaking in the hot tub under the starlit sky was a memorable highlight, allowing me to melt away the stress of daily life. Overall, Toms Hut offers an ideal escape for anyone looking to recharge.

Greengage was the perfect break for us escaping the city! The place is in such a great spot, and has everything you need to feel comfortable and relaxed. The outside space is beautiful and the fire pit and hot tub were such great extras. We loved the fact that you can change the temp of the hot tub yourself, and really enjoyed spending the nights around the fire pit. It was so peaceful and the views were lovely to wake up to. The stove in the hut was lovely and really heated up the space quickly and made the space so cosy. Ivan was great with communication and checking in and out was easy and very clear. We really loved our stay here and would love to return soon!

It's a quirky little gem of a place, set in beautiful woodland surroundings. A very different experience from any other Airbnb we've stayed in! Everything that could be provided in the small space of the caravan is provided. The hot tub is wonderful, and kept warm well after dark. The bed was a bit challenging for me (being quite tall) but still very snug and warm. Percy and Max were always up for some company and make this place extra special.

The Shepherd's Hut has everything you need for luxury camping! Lovely interior with dreamy touches such as sash windows, high-quality bedding, and enamelware. Well designed and clear handbook, and friendly and helpful hosts. We camped in style, cooked outdoors on the butane camping stove, provided, and roasted marshmallows (also provided) at night over the fire pit . It was also classy touch having your own WC and shower allotted to Shepherd's Hut. Fantastic location, 5 minute shuffle to a gravel beach on the banks of the River Wye, great for canoeists or just lazing around watching the swans.

We had a fabulous long weekend at the gypsy caravan, beautiful views and so peaceful and private. Lovely walking country with many destinations. The guide book in the accommodation provides lots of tips on things to do, and Nick was very helpful too in offering suggestions, even offering to taxi us to a local restaurant. Will definitely be going back soon to unwind again.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gabbie's place. Even though we were only there for a couple of nights, the peace of the meadow and the sounds of birds and farm animals around us made it feel magical from the moment we arrived. The cabins were comfortable and well-appointed. My partner who is 6'5 could comfortably stand up inside both cabins and the bed was long enough for him (though the doorways were a little low for his head, but he's used to that!). As a city girl it took me a little while to get used to the idea of the loo, but after the first couple of times it wasn't even a thought anymore. I did see a few other guest reviews that mentioned poor phone signal, and while we stayed off our phones most of the time as disconnecting was our intention, when we did use them to send some photos we had no issues with signal. It was very easy to find our way there with Gabbie's instructions and we have already been talking about when we'd like to go back! Thank you Gabbie!

Wow...just WOW! This place is a little slice of heaven. Amazing location. So peaceful. The hut had everything you needed. Super comfy and cozy. Sian and Jack are just the best hosts. They gave us everything we needed to make out stay ideal. Friendly, welcoming and informative re all the bits and bobs in the local area. Make sure you do the Bryn Arw and Sugar Loaf circular and stop at the Crown for a well earned pint or too.

From start to finish our stay in the huts just purely a treat, views delightful & relaxing. Pip the pig was cute, the zip wire & hot tub made the stay a treat for our grandson. Jude made us very welcome & even provided rain coats we’d forgotten to pack. Perfect stay & returning soon. David, Denise & Harry

Such beautiful accommodation in a lovely and peaceful environment. It was lovely being so close to nature but with the main town only a 5 minute walk away. Gary & Kate were quick to respond and very helpful with any queries or questions we had too.

my daughter booked for her boyfriends 18th. Mary-Anne was fantastic in accommodating them and they had a wonderful time and are looking forward to returning.

We had an amazing stay at Louise's place. it was so peaceful in lovely surroundings. We just wanted to relax for a few days without doing a great deal and it was an ideal place to do exactly that. The guide to the local area and amenities was especially helpful. slightly disappointed with the... weather! but only to be expected in the UK! still managed a dip in the pool which was superb!, tried a game of tennis and enjoyed the hottub. it really was a lovely stay, waking up to the ponies and wildlife was amazing too! would highly recommend Louise as a host

Probably the most luxurious and beautifully decorated shepherd's hut me and my partner had the pleasure of staying at. Cherry was a great host, we felt like we had the privacy we needed and the much needed getaway from the city, surrounded by Wales countryside beauty and quietness.

We returned to Shepherd's Rest as we loved it so much the first time. It's absolute paradise and just so tranquil. We love the extremely comfy egg chair and just relaxing in the peace of the countryside! Everything you need, the sheep and lambs are a bonus!

An incredibly relaxing and comfortable weekend stay, whilst we forged pointy things at The Oldfield Forge, highlighted by Mark and Teresa's superb hospitality. The hut and kitchen/bathroom building feature the best facilities with an outstanding attention to detail that serve to show the huge amount of love and thought built into everh nook and cranny. Great views and walks in the amazing natural surroundings too. Thank you both for making our 25th wedding anniversary that extra bit more special. Will definitely stay here again.
