Editing a review

To encourage honest and impartial reviews, we limit the ability of hosts and guests to edit a review after they’ve written it.

For homes: If you submit your review first, you may edit it anytime within the 14-day review period, up until the other party submits their review. Once both reviews are submitted or the 14-day review period has ended—whichever comes first—both reviews are automatically published and no more changes can be made. For services and experiences: Reviews are only written by guests. Find out more about how reviews work for services and experiences.

Edit your recent home review

Reviews for services and experiences can’t be edited once submitted.

Edit your recent review on desktop

    1. Click Profile > Reviews
    2. Select Reviews by you
    3. Click the review you'd like to edit
    4. Make your changes and click Submit

    Removing a review

Once a review you’ve written has been published, you can contact us to request for it to be removed. If someone else wrote the review, you can make a review removal request if it violates our Reviews Policy.

Note: Someone who wrote a review always has the right to request that it be removed.

Exceptions for editing a review written about you

You generally can’t request edits to a review written by you or about you. However, you may contact us to request a change in the gender pronoun used to describe you in reviews. Upon request, except where prohibited by law, we may be able to edit reviews in order to change the gender pronoun you use.
