Placemakr was the ideal home base for exploring Austin. We rented a car and were able to explore the Hill Country in the morning, cool off by Barton Springs in the afternoon, then park at home and enjoy the nightlife on 6th street within walking distance. A great experience, highly recommend!

This was a great place to stay in downtown Austin — especially during the week! I read some reviews that were concerned about the highway behind the room, but fortunately it wasn’t too bad for us. We used a noise machine as well — which helped a lot. Really great location, close to so much, and parking didn’t cost a fortune— which was nice haha. Overall it was great place to stay in Austin, we enjoyed it. And extra points for such clear instructions from Jason— you don’t have to figure anything out yourself. It was all super clear from start to finish.

The rental was exactly what we needed and were looking for to accommodate us on our Girl's trip to Austin. The place was exactly as described, clean and the concierge staff at the Wyndham were extremely helpful too. Great location with plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance.

Loved the hotel, the aesthetics & the staff. The Swim Club bar & pool area were great to hang out at during traveling downtime. The room was spacious & comfortable. Would recommend & stay again. Will advise if you are not used to city traffic, the noise of the freeway may be loud for you. But I’m used to it so it was white background noise

My group of 7 really enjoyed our stay here!! There were plenty of bathrooms and all the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was large and there was a dining room table that could fit us all! The two living rooms was also an added bonus, and the outside space was gorgeous. The house was about 25 minutes from downtown Austin, but had lots of local options nearby as well.

This place was SO cool! We will certainly be staying here again. It's right next to the river, with the ability to rent paddle boards, floats etc. Restaurants and bars within walking distance, and everyone was so nice! They provided coffee and donuts in the lobby as well. The rooms were all that we needed, since we were mostly experiencing the outdoors. Five Stars.

This was my second place staying here and for sure will not be my last. I love the space and how accommodating everyone who works there is. There’s so much to do on site and it’s a very short drive to the square. Really great space for a nice little getaway.

We LOVED the Cypress Lodge and only wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy all of the amenities. The swimming hole and bar was a highlight, as well as the new pizza and cocktail lounge. The whole place had a very local, chill, summer camp vibe that we really appreciated. The staff were all super friendly. We hope to bring a big group one day!

We reserved all six cabins for our group. It provided us privacy, but also a place for us to congregate and visit. The Cabins at Onion Creek is a beautiful property with rustic cabins that have modern amenities. I would definitely recommend this location. (There is also a tasting room within walking distance).

Flash Sale for SXSW! Luxury Studio in Austin

Anjali was extremely responsive and helpful. She helped us understand the bedroom set up before we booked - this was helpful as it was technically a studio, although the bedroom area had doors that closed it off so it felt private for someone to sleep on the sofa bed. The stay worked out great as we got all the amenities of a hotel, but with the living space/kitchen/laundry amenities of an AirBnb. Location was excellent for Austin City Limits Festival. Prices were very high for ACL but overall I believe we paid rates that were generally commensurate with what hotels were charging based on how late we booked. The Wyndham was fun and gave out special eclipse-viewing glasses for free and had a free waffle brunch so we had some nice perks too! Big thank you to Anjali :)

Kelly's place was located at the Club Wyndham. Check in was easy, at the front desk. The unit was very clean and well maintained. It was super easy to get refills on any items like coffee. The view was excellent. Was perfect for SXSW.
