Castle vacation rentals in Haute-Vienne

Wir sind herzlich von dem sehr sympathischen Louis begrüßt worden und hatten eine wunderbare Übernachtung in seinem historischem Chateau. Der Aufenthalt war interessant und beeindruckend und wir denken gerne daran zurück.

This is a really neat place to stay in the countryside. The château has been in Louis’ family for 26 generations and he and his daughters had lots of fun stories to tell about the place. Staying here is like staying in a museum, it’s so cool. Louis was very nice and organized a breakfast with us in the château, which was lovely. We felt so welcomed and the place is gorgeous. Be sure to plan to spend some time at the château, we only had time for a brief tour and would have loved to stay longer!

This is a beautiful property and the perfect place for our few nights while travelling up through France. Our two kids (8 & 5) loved the pool and playing in the rest of the grounds and I particularly enjoyed watching the owls after dark. Colette and Patrick are fantastic hosts and I'd certainly recommend a stop here to anybody looking for a stay in this part of France.

Thanks to the Airbnb ‘only castles’ filter I have stayed in quite a few castles. This was truly an authentic experience that I will always remember. This castle has been in the host’s family for 800 years and he has a lot of passion for its history and preservation. We loved that is was dog friendly and had a laid back, relaxing feel to it. If you love history then do yourself a favour and take a day or two to make it out to this hidden gem. Thank you for being so kind to us and our dogs. Ron, Cristina, Eddi and Norm

Séjour exceptionnel entre amis. Le château de Sannat est un lieu tellement magnifique et accueillant que nous sommes finalement restés sur place tout le week-end pour en profiter, sans même visiter les campagnes environnantes (qui sont vallonnées et boisées) ☺️ Un lieu chargé d’histoire et un héritage familial qui est entretenu et préservé par Jacques et ses enfants. Un accueil chaleureux, bienveillant et un hôte soucieux de notre confort et content de nous raconter l’histoire de cette demeure d’exception. Magique, donc, et pour un tarif individuel raisonnable si on part en groupe. Merci à Jacques et à Laure 😊

Belinda et Lee vous accueillent chaleureusement dans leur magnifique château au milieu de grands espaces calmes et verdoyants. Idéal pour se retrouver en famille ou entre amis. Le château est parfaitement equipé que ce soit pour un sejour ou une semaine. Le salon et la salle de jeu sont propices à la convivialité et aux retrouvailles. La magnifique piscine permet de se rafraîchir sur la saison estivale. On entend la rivière en contrebas de la fenêtre des chambres. Nous avons tous très bien dormis (le château dispose de 13 vrais couchages) et de 3 salles de bain dont 2 extrêmement spacieuses. Tout était propre et la vaisselle en grande quantité nous a permis de cuisiner aisément pour le groupe. Un hébergement idéal pour se retrouver et profiter de ses proches. Nous remercions vivement Belinda et Lee pour le super week-end que nous avons passé.

16 of us stayed for a week in le Chateau, ourselves, 5 children ,3 in-laws, 6 grandchildren and 3 dogs. We managed to sort out the sleeping arrangements to everyones satisfaction and it was so exciting to stay in such an old Chateau. The secluded situation provided ideal freedom for the children and dogs.We enjoyed fishing ( although failed to catch a carp), playing pool, games and the cinema room. The swimming pool was the main attraction for most especially the pool-party - celebrating a 10yr old birthday - comment from the 6yr old "it was the best day of my life" Other comments: "It was so lovely nothing negative except more mugs needed." "I thought it was brilliant, the chap who was on site was excellent" "Amazing accommodation and facilities, would definitely recommend . Relating to a review I read - not luxury but its authenticity offers so much more. Lovely places nearby if you can tear yourself away. So sad it was only one week.
