There is a disc golf course nearby. Here you will experience beautiful sunsets and you might spot a Saimaa ringed seal. The perfect place for those who value nature, tranquility, and comfort. So if you're looking for an old-fashioned rustic atmosphere, you've come to the right place. Pihlaja-aho's cabin is the only place in Finland where you can spend a unique alpaca holiday. The 1.3 ha of natural meadows of the croft are grazed by three nice alpaca boys, whose easy care you are responsible for independently and according to your own schedule.

Peace and harmony at Pikkumökki-cottage

Pikkumökki-cottage is a cosy, traditional log cottage with a magnificent view over the lake Saimaa. The cottage has an open common area (livingroom and kitchenette) and a sleeping alcove. Sauna is in the same building with an own entrance. There is no shower, but you wash yourself with a refreshing lakewater. There is no watertoilet, but traditional dry eco toilet in a separate building. A big terrace and a grill for barbeque. There is a small bungalow next to the cottage, with beds for two.

Ascetic remote old Finnish cottage with own beach and sauna. In midsummer there is also bilberry (nordic blueberry) fields right next to the cottage! At the cottage you can enjoy a romantic holiday in a historic milieu or just go and relax with your friends and take a rowing boat to the lake. The cottage has no electricity or running water, wood heating. You can cook with wood heated stove. Blankets, pillows, and mattresses can be found in the cottage. Please bring your own sheets & towels.

Peaceful barn accommodation

It's easy to relax in this unique and peaceful holiday destination. Linens (sheets, towels) are included. The log cabin has an old-fashioned rustic atmosphere, as it is dark even in the summer. Washing in a wood-heated beach sauna, which also has a private beach (use of the beach and sauna shared with potential guests of another cabin, own sauna shifts). Private outhouse only for this cabin, not shared. Rowboat in use. Refrigerator, coffee and kettle in the barn.

This beautiful lakeside log cabin is located 25 km north of Mikkeli. Built in 2014, it invites you to relax and enjoy the peace and beauty of Finnish nature.
