Riff Cottage with sea views in Orkney

SheilaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Riff Cottage was by far the best holiday rental we have ever stayed in - quiet, warm, comfortable, spacious, clean, well equipped and tastefully decorated. There are wonderful views to the farmyard and the firth and hills beyond. Greig and Lesley were the perfect hosts, quickly responsive when we needed help, friendly when we met them around the farm but otherwise unobtrusive. The location is perfect for accessing the nearby neolithic sites and nature reserves and the shop is Finstown is a short drive away. We much appreciated the ample welcome pack. We thoroughly recommend a stay at Riff Cottage.
A landscape view captures rolling fields transitioning from green to golden hues under a cloudy sky. Hoy Island is visible in the distance, framed by the calm waters of the sea as the sun sets, casting warm tones across the scenery.

Langwell Bothy

JacquiRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Langwell was my wee haven. Very private and my dog loved to sit looking out the front window to the amazing view while I just loved the treat of coffee in bed while looking out to sea. Very clean and warm and well stocked with tea and coffee as well as the full complement of apps in the telly so nice to snuggle in watching a film when Orkney decides to be blustery!! Would really recommend- great value all round!!

Feolquoy Harray ~ Self Catering Farm House

BeccaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
An amazing place to stay on Orkney! The home is quaint, cozy, clean, and has everything you could possibly need during your stay. There was loads of information on Orkney for us to browse through and even had a history of the house itself. Staying here made our trip to Orkney one of our very favorites. Thanks so much for having us!
A welcoming outdoor area is shown, featuring a paved stone patio leading to a blue door. A wooden bench is positioned nearby, surrounded by greenery. A dog is seated in the foreground, showcasing a relaxed posture, while the stone walls of the cottage provide a rustic backdrop.

North Walls Kirk

IanRating, 5 stars3 days ago
The Old Kirk was quite stunning - as soon as we unlocked and opened the door, we could see the charm and wonder of the whole place. It was superbly furnished and quite delightful, with so many interesting things dotted around... ...a real home from home and on quite a grand scale. Hoy is a charmingly remote and sometimes desolate place, but the Old Kirk was always a delight to come back to - so warm and cosy. We were particularly lucky that there was a folk music concert (Saltfishforty) on the Friday we were there, right next door in the Gable End Theatre - and we had two meals at Emily's, just up the road. A wonderful 4 days - Thanks, Inga.
