Staying with this family was such a beautiful experience. They are the most friendly, helpful and loving hosts. Making sure that I felt at home everytime, serving me the best kenyan food and taking care. They know everything you need to in Harar, showed me the city and organised me a tourguide. The location of the house is nice and you can reach everything easily. Thank you so much for everything❤️

The current owner is Ben, not Denis. You can find Ben’s contact in the check in instructions in AirBNB. Ben and his family are very nice and friendly. The house and the room is comfortable. The location is a bit far from the old city centre, but you can go there by tuktuk for 50-100 ETB.
A spacious courtyard is characterized by natural materials and an open layout. Various seating options include wooden benches and low tables, with decorative elements like woven baskets and greenery scattered throughout. Sunlight filters through the overhead bamboo cover, creating a relaxed atmosphere.

Harla Inn - Dire Dawa

JosephRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We don’t often stay in expensive places when we travel but wanted to be comfortable after the long train ride from Addis. This was a very comfortable place to stay, and the photos are true to what the Inn is like. All the people who work here are really nice, and we enjoyed many conversations with Eyob, the manager of the Inn. Eyob’s hospitality was the best part of our stay here. The Inn is in a good location of the city, maybe a 15 minute walk east to the market and the same north to the city center. There are a few places to have a meal nearby (as long as you don’t eat too late in the evening.) If you are arriving in Dire Dawa by train, the station is 12km from this part of the city but there will be lots of Bajajs (tuk-tuks) waiting when you come arrive and the cost for a collective ride is 150 birr per person, or 750 per trip.
A wooden bed with intricate carvings is set against a muted gray wall. Two white pillows are positioned atop a patterned blanket. A small nightstand can be seen nearby, and sunlight enters through a window, creating a soft glow in the room.
