The holiday home is a fantastic symbiosis of history and modernity! A several hundred year old house with romantic charm has been combined here with the amenities of today: underfloor heating, modern kitchen, dimmable light. Really great! In addition, the great location in the middle of the old town, very quiet and with a great park right outside the door. Everything was clean and super equipped. Even fresh tulips were at the table! In addition, Marina arranged a bike rental for us - a great service! We rarely had such a great vacation rental!

Super nice house and nice quiet location to relax and come down! We felt right at home and were totally impressed by the accommodation. Restaurants, grocery stores, bakers and a small beach bar in the vicinity and total idyll. Many beautiful hiking routes from the property even without a car. The house was super equipped and totally well coordinated. Every corner of the house invited you to relax. Felix and Holger were friendly, uncomplicated and quickly accessible. We definitely recommend it! Not unlikely that we will come again:)

We spent the Easter days in the beautiful house in Hörste and enjoyed it very much. There was enough space in the spacious house for three generations and we were even able to have breakfast together on the terrace in the sunshine. Thank you!

Great place for larger groups on a weekend - everything there for cooking etc. Everything was clean. However, you should not expect great luxury.

We spent an extended family weekend at Matthies and his family's cottage. We felt very taken care of even before the start of the holiday, Matthies answered all questions in advance to the complete satisfaction and was very flexible in the implementation. The cottage with all the amenities (sauna and outdoor area) made us all feel right at home from the beginning, everything very tastefully decorated and the equipment really leaves nothing to be desired. The kids really want to come back, that says it all. Thanks u so much!

Thanks to the detailed information about the apartment and the check-in, we had a great stay and were able to fully enjoy our time. Our host answered all our questions very quickly. The description and photos match and we didn't miss anything. The location was great - just a few steps from the rehab and about 5-10 minutes' walk to downtown. We were even greeted at Christmas time with a chocolate Santa Claus. If we visit Bad Essen again, we will definitely choose this apartment again!

Super apartment, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, nice shower, large living room, very clean and overall plenty of space. Playground right outside and the area is super quiet. We felt very comfortable and it all worked out I'm sure we'll be back.

We had booked a 4-day stay and wanted to celebrate Christmas with the family near the accommodation. But then everything changed. Thanks to Heike's flexibility and understanding, we were able to spend a relaxing time in the beautiful apartment (decorated with a lot of love, for every little detail). Overall a really perfect stay. The house was exactly as presented and hoped. Plenty of space, plenty of sleeping options, sauna, bathtub, great kitchen and and and... Sabrina also left the pool "open" so that we could take ice baths before and after each sauna session. Simply phenomenal and highly recommended. Note on the four star categories. Here I was extremely petty. The location is on a busy road and not in the countryside - it didn't bother us, but maybe you should know. The apartment was also super clean and tidy but of course you notice that people usually live in it. And that didn't bother us, but it's not a five-star hotel. As mentioned - I was now very petty, so I don't give out five stars everywhere! 😅 But overall highly recommended for six people!

We felt super comfortable in this beautiful, perfectly equipped apartment. The forest next door and at the same time the church square next door are perfectly within walking distance. Nele is very nice and gives helpful tips. We will be happy to come back!

Excellent accommodation in quiet and beautiful surroundings.

They are very nice and welcoming people. The place is cozy and perfect if you want to escape the city for a bit. It’s peaceful, surrounded by nature, and has everything you need to relax. If you have an electric car, there’s even a charger available so you can charge at home, which was super convenient. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!

We stayed for just one night on our way back home, but it was a great experience. The location is very convenient — relatively close to the highway — yet quiet and peaceful. The place has everything you need, and I would happily choose it again, even for a longer stay.

My partner, our dog and I had a wonderful weekend in Horn-Bad-Meinberg. The place was exactly as advertised, we felt very comfortable and we didn't miss anything. Many attractions are not too far away. The quiet location of the accommodation was perfect to escape the ordinary, we were awakened in the morning by birds chirping, it was all perfect. Thank you ☺️
