Kaakilan Helmi on 2018 valmistunut tasokas mökki. Mökissä pääset nauttimaan maaseudun rauhasta olit sitten lomamatkalla, työmatkalla tai muuten vain ohi kulkemassa. Mökki sijaitsee noin 40km E75 tieltä länteen päin ja pohjoiseen mentäessä olemme noin suomen puolivälissä eikä lenkki Haapajärvelle pidennä juurikaan matkaasi. Mökin isoista ikkunoista ja terassilta avautuu maisema suoraan järvelle niin olohuoneesta, makuuhuoneesta kuin saunastakin. Saunasta pulahdat suoraan järveen vilvoittelemaan.

The place is wonderful and calming. The host is super. Only 5 stars is not enough for the host. She speaks English very well so it is easy to communicate even if you are an international guest. We had some issues and wrote to the host and she was always there for help. She easily surpassed our expectations. I would recommend this place for everyone, even you can work from there as it has WiFi. Cell phone networks not that great which for me is a plus. The location, the surrounding and the way to reach the place is beauuuuutiful. The only regret is we couldn’t stay there for longer. Definitely coming back. Anyone interested in this place, just send a message to the host and all your questions will be answered. Also there is a SALE around 15 minutes by car which is small but has most of the things you need. Thank you Titta 😊

Lake cottage on private island for nature lovers

A truly magical place, your own little universe. A quiet and peaceful place like this is not easy to come by these days, especially not with all the modern amenities that Pirjo's place offers. Private sauna, comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen, fast WiFi, near-total isolation with a town still in reach... I could go on. A true gem in the middle of the beautiful Finnish nature and without a doubt the best Airbnb I ever stayed at. Pirjo herself is an amazing host. Not only did she always reply quickly and very helpfully – she went out of her way multiple times to accommodate and go the extra mile for me, organizing helpful things for me that I didn't even ask her to. I am so grateful to Pirjo, whose hospitality has been the cherry on top of this amazing vacation-cake. Also the island's caretaker, Heikki, was super nice and helpful and I'm happy to have met him. Sadly I didn't meet Pirjo to thank her in person but I hope we will once I inevitably come back for another stay.

Majoitus oli oikein passeli meidän tarpeisiin. Ajelimme etelästä Ylläkselle, ja majoituksessa yöpyminen toi palauttavan tauon ajomatkaan. Koska kaupunki on itselle lapsuudesta tuttu, tuli samalla reissulla tavattua myös tuttuja. Varmasti suosittelemme majoitusta myös muille pohjoiseen matkaaville.
