Villa vacation rentals in Gyokuto, Tamana District

Beautiful serene place. We lucked out with the weather which was beautiful warm and we swam in the bay several times during the day. The view of the water and sea life (we were sure we saw porpoises) birds and butterflies from the verandah was other worldly. Watching the surface of the water change was pure Zen. The onsen just perfect. The kitchen could do with one more cooking pot and a coffee machine and the living/outdoor space more seating, but since you’re staying in an historic building you do accept that you’re lucky to be staying there at all. It’s really very unique and even our two 22 year olds were blown away by the building including garden view from the bedrooms.

The surroundings are peaceful and you can see Yufu-dake behind the house.The only downside was the variety of cookware, plates and utensils but no bowls alone, which was a bit inconvenient.

6 people, used by the family. Great value and very satisfied!! High school and junior high school kids are in tension. The floor heating was also warm and comfortable from the moment I entered. Easy to find and easy to check in and check out. There are a whole set of cooking utensils, etc., no problem. We had a very meaningful time. Thank you!

What a special place. We were lucky enough to find this house as we cancelled another part of our trip and ended up staying 3 days here. This was the most beautiful Japanese house we stayed at over the years. The decoration is very intricate, beautiful in every day. The kitchen is exceptionally well furnished, we cooked every night and nothing was lacking. The situation, right in front of a pier makes the house stand out in so many ways. And we loved all the things to do in the region, it was a great discovery for us. Of course, we had our own leased car, we don't know how one would manage without transportation in the vicinity so we can't speak to that. All in all, we had a fantastic stay here and cannot recommend it enough.

The most gorgeous stay in the loveliest village. Beautifully renovated little home so unique and well kept. We were lucky enough to be there in the sun and the rain and each transformed the place with such character. Gorgeous eateries and the lovely castle ruins made our stay. Would love to be back sometime!

This is a very decent house, sufficient enough for my family (6 members aged between 4 to 70). The place is very clean and tidy. The host is friendly and kind. The instructions provided were clear and easy to follow. We think the location of the house is very convenient, probably because we drive. It takes reasonable time to travel to Kumamoto city or to Aso district, just in the middle of both. A large shopping mall is near, about 10 mins drive, very convenient! The house has everything you need. Towels, shampoo, body soap and even skin care products are present in the house. This is a real bonus for those who prefer light luggage and not to carry too many things when travelling. Cooking utensils are well equipped and even seasonings. We make delicious meals during our stay. I highly recommend this premise to visitors who are going to travel to Kumamoto in a group of 4-7.

Little bit hard to find the way in at night . But the staff is very helpful ,and the house is perfect.

The place and the location are both fantastic. It is extremely good value for money compared with our other accommodation in Kyushu. The onsen is great. Beds are comfy. Place is warm. View is spectacular. Close to kurokawa onsen town. Close to ski fields. Easy access from beppu (with winter tyres) For access: In winter you need winter tyres to get to Kurosawa onsen. And the property is a bit higher up. we had heavy snowfall, so chains would be preferable for the driveway (but we parked 5min walk away and walked up instead). The highway to get to kurokawa onsen was closed unless you have winter tyres or chains. So it is necessary

Loved staying at this house! It’s super big, so there was plenty of space to chill and feel comfortable. The view was really nice, and the onsen in the house was such a bonus—perfect for relaxing. Would definitely stay here again!

This is the most memorable place I've ever stayed in with my dog.I felt that if the check-in and check-out times were a little longer, I could slow down a little. Thanks for your hospitality.

The way to go is strict, larger cars need to be careful⚠️ However, the location was good and I enjoyed it very much with my family of 5!!

It was a nice villa as pictured. There was also a BBQ and jacuzzi, so a large number of people enjoyed it.

We had a wonderful 3-night stay here with our 8-month-old. Everything in the house was new and in great condition, and it was very well stocked with everything we needed. The host was incredibly responsive and made sure we were well settled from the start. The views were absolutely stunning, and the space was perfect for switching off—whether we were relaxing in the sauna, grilling on the BBQ, going for a swim, watching a movie on the projector or reading a book by the window. They had kindly provided a high chair, and we could help ourselves to drinks, which was a lovely touch. It’s a peaceful and beautifully designed getaway—we’d love to return!

It was my first trip to Japan, and it was an accommodation that met my expectations of coziness, historical sites, peace, atmosphere, and taste! I had a good time at the attractions and restaurants because Mika the host recommended them to me. I'll have to take my group next time. Vanilla, hello ~

This is an accommodation that will become a precious resting space in nature. 12 people stayed, but it was a spacious space and I had a good rest without lacking anything:) The check-in and check-out process was also convenient, and the host responded kindly.

A great place to consider for families who like to huddle together and enjoy the facilities provided by Kuromi. 4 TVs, 2 kitchens with all the tools, a beautiful outdoor area for grills and just chilling out. Kuromi was also very responsive to queries. They had a team on standby to inspect the lights and alternative solutions were given to ensure a great experience to my family. Recommended!

We had a great time staying at this beautiful, cozy loft. The place gets plenty of natural light and is equipped with many convenient amenities that made our stay comfortable. The host is responsive and hospitable. Highly recommended!

A stylish home with detailed amenities to cater extreme comfort

The highlight of our trip. Would be awesome if come again in summer to use the pool and fully enjoy the sea.

I stayed with my family and relatives, a total of 14 people (7 adults, 7 children) and 2 dogs, for 1 night.I used it as a place to celebrate with relatives, and I was very satisfied with the comfort and full facilities that exceeded my expectations. First of all, the 2-story 6SLDK villa, built on a 1400 ㎡ spacious site, is more spacious than you can see in the photos, and is designed to allow even large groups to spend time comfortably.The living and dining rooms were open, and the whole family enjoyed eating and talking. Notably, it is a 10-minute drive from Fukuoka Airport, but it has a panoramic view overlooking Fukuoka City.I was able to see the planes take off and land up close, and it was an exciting experience for me as an aviation enthusiast. There are also plenty of facilities where you can enjoy the resort atmosphere, such as a barrel sauna, a small pool, a long deck, and a private BBQ facility.I was unable to use these facilities this time due to time constraints, but I would love to enjoy them with the whole family next time. Another big plus is that you can bring your pet.The dogs also played freely in the large yard and seemed to have a stress-free time. Overall, the cleanliness of the facility and the host's service were excellent, and I had a peaceful stay.I think it is the perfect villa for large groups and special events.I'd love to stay again next time.
