Vacation rentals with a kayak in Groton

From the moment we walked in, we felt at home. The home was very clean and well stocked. The outside patio furniture on the deck with the view of the lake was a huge bonus for eating meals, and playing games with our family. The location for us was great, not a long drive to the aquarium, many museums and other fun things to do.

This was a fabulous destination! We were looking for a big place to have a special anniversary party weekend with extended family, and this house had everything we needed. Plenty of bedrooms upstairs and first floor, many common gathering areas, large kitchen and dining room tables, and lots of Space. (And this doesn't even include the explorable property outside.) The dozens of photos in the listing were very helpful, as well as the detailed descriptions. We had specific needs for elderly relatives with disabilities, and owner Lynne was so responsive in her replies to my many messages with varied questions. Truly, Lynne, you deserve a gold star from Airbnb for promptness and offering up ways and help that made our stay both easier and fulfilling.

Perfect location and accommodations for extended family to stay for a college graduation weekend! Clean, spacious and well appointed. Nice views and enjoyed using the kayaks on the bay. Garon’s responsiveness and communication were excellent.

Our stay here was amazing! So much attention to detail was put into every aspect of this home. It was spotless and very well maintained. We enjoyed being able to use the kayaks, paddleboards, and canoe. We never felt like something was missing and never had a hard time finding what we needed. It is such a quiet and peaceful area and we spent a lot of time just sitting by the water relaxing. We loved being able to have a fire right by the water as well. The downstairs game room/theatre was a blast as well. Overall I would 100% book a stay here in the future and highly recommend it.

Sandra’s place was great for our family get together, ages ranging from 1 to 80. Lots of living space and open. Great front porch and backyard is beautiful., perfect for sitting out by the fire pit at night. The table easily accommodates up to 12. No worries running out of dishes or glassware. The house is tastefully decorated, comfortable. The water view is a plus and the area is very walkable with proximity to beaches. Highly recommended!

Great little house. Very well stocked and very clean. High quality all around! Little beach area is very rocky so not for lounging but a great launch point for small boats. Water in the area is very calm. Neighborhood is very quiet and cute with lots of amenities.

Staying at Daniela’s place was great! Super easy to find and get into the peaceful house on the pond. Even though it was pet friendly, the house was spotless and had no wear or tear from previous visitors. It was great that they had child gates at stairs too! The dog loved going out in the canoe and swimming in the pond! Great place overall!

We loved the home and area! It was a great weekend getaway, private quiet and peaceful. Kitchen equipment exceeded my expectations, everything immaculately kept, very clean. New appliances in a beautiful open dining space. Kid friendly was a must and this place was perfect. The yard is private and safe for playing without worrying about any traffic. The walk to the river is straightforward and the kayaks are by the water with a fire pit area and some chairs if you want to warm up or toast marshmallows. The jetted hot tub was a favorite and highlight of the entire experience. Would recommend and stay again in the future. 10/10!

We had a wonderful stay at Leann’s! The home was absolutely lovely—clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated. The amenities were just what I needed for a relaxing getaway. Leann was a great host, and we truly can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!

This was the ideal location for my husband and me to spend the holidays with our family who live across the lake. Will and John gave us a warm, friendly welcome and Quinn also checked in to make sure we settled in and had everything needed for a comfy cozy stay. It was easy to communicate with everyone and the location felt peaceful and private but not isolated. I can't imagine a more ideal experience and cannot thank Quinn enough for making this stay the best ever we've had with Airbnb!

This place has so much charm! Clean. Comfy beds and linens. Well stocked kitchen. Everything you nee to feel right at home. Very safe neighborhood.

Our 2 day stay at the cottage was just what we’d hoped for our wedding weekend! Annalisa was so responsive and accommodating. A wonderful host, such wonderful hospitality and an amazingly stunning private retreat! Would definitely return!

Cute and cozy home with lovely outdoor sitting area. Woke up to the sounds of the breeze and chirping birds! You can see the water from out the kitchen windows!

Nice little spot with boats on the pond. Went there for my son’s Wesleyan graduation and could take family out on the kayaks.

We enjoyed our time at Vintage Bolton Lake Cottage. The place is cute, peaceful and quiet. Not having a TV was perfection! Kayaking was fun. Nice bass too! Top notch experience. Jason checked in to make sure we didn’t need anything or have any concerns mid stay, which I appreciate. Phenomenal host. Would love to go back!

Easy to find and access. Clean and neat. Looked just like the pictures! It was what I looking for when booking! Yeah!! Host responsive and friendly.

Clean and cozy cabin. Close to Mystic without being right in the thick of it. We enjoyed a night by the fire with a friendly local fisherman. It worked nicely for our short trip to the area.

Marilyn’s place was great! Very peaceful. Lake access was awesome. Warm neighborhood. The kitchen was a bit tricky to navigate, but Marilyn had detailed instructions. We enjoyed our stay. I would recommend Marilyn’s place.

Paul was a wonderful host! He was great with communication, proactive, and accommodating. The cabin was beautiful and awesome location right on the marina. We would highly recommend to our family and friends!

This was a weekend getaway for our anniversary. We were pleasantly surprised with the quiet and peaceful surroundings. Everything is exactly like the pictures. The neighbors had a large party and we did not hear a thing inside the cabin! It rained most of the days but we were very comfortable. If you love nature, you will love this place. Bring your hiking boots and your binoculars for bird watching. There are several ponds nearby for fishing and you may consider visiting the local wineries. Hope to come back again!

Had a great time in this peaceful wonderful setting. Saw and heard maybe 40 bird species. (Using Merlin app). Frogs and turtles too!everything we needed! Beds are very comfortable!

Joe's Cabin was exactly as described in the listing. Beautiful, peaceful neighborhood, and right next to the lake. Our family came into town for an event and the cabin was the perfect place to relax and unwind. Every part of the home was clean, beds were very comfortable, and every amenity was available if needed. Host was very responsive and communicated well. We will definitely be back.

We spent a long weekend at Dennis’ place and it was nothing short of amazing. Our aim was to relax and enjoy the lake, and we did just that. The house was exactly as described, matched and exceeded our expectations; furnished and the kitchen had everything we needed and more. If we’re back in CT, we won’t hesitate to book the house again! Paul was very responsive. When we got there our room had not been cleaned. We got in touch with him and he immediately switched our room to a clean one which was fine. He was very apologetic and even brought us a bottle of prosecco. The place was cute, modern, and clean. Can't really walk to anything because it's off a busy road but it sits on the river with a beautiful view and many chairs to sit in and enjoy. We made a fire in the fire pit and cooked on the grill one chilly night. It was very nice. Close and convenient to many attractions in the area. We had our dog with us and she enjoyed it too.
