If I could give Leigh-Anne a 10 star review, I absolutely would. My husband and I were traveling from the states on our honeymoon, never having visited the Netherlands and not really being travelers, period. We honestly had no idea what we were doing - Leigh-Anne jumped in and was so kind and helpful. She was so clear in describing where the Airbnb is, not leaving out any important details of how it was on an island, needing to travel to and from by ferry, how often the ferry ran, etc. Luckily we are not big nightlife people and booked the cottage for peaceful refuge and that is just what we got. My husband and I are animal/nature lovers, so the fact there are goats and a rooster were icing on the cake. There are endless fields with wildlife, flowers, cows that you can see from the bedroom window when you wake up and a nice set up outside that is perfect for enjoying some coffee with the goats and birds. The hosts are really welcoming and the tiny house is impeccable. In addition, an excellent breakfast awaits us upon arrival. The house is really hidden in the backyard. Silence is guaranteed. The garden is beautiful. The only small problem is the 10 Eu per day fee for parking that was not planned (new municipal regulation). And it's hard to find parking; however, the hosts gave us a good hand.

It was a wonderful stay! The Romantic Cottage was cozy and stylish. It was perfect for our needs and offered a relaxing environment after a day of sightseeing. The location was fantastic. The host was friendly and helpful. We would definitely return again!

Do not hesitate to go there! It is the perfect getaway! Everything is well thought, well decorated, we felt so quickly at home and at peace. There are some houses and neighbours around the house but you might only see them when you arrive and leave. The place is private and quiet. The view is exactly like the picture, we spent evenings looking at the sky, the birds, the rabbits and the cows. A great place 😊

This is the perfect place to stay when visiting Alkmaar! It is close enough to enjoy all that the city has to offer, yet it also provides a beautiful, peaceful escape from the business and crowds. Han and Kelly were great hosts, providing helpful recommendations and even rides from the train station and into Alkmaar. We also enjoyed hanging out with the dog, cat and chickens! We would definitely stay here again.

Wow! What an amazing week at 't Vaerkenskot! A beautifully renovated and restored pig barn! You can see it was a labour of love for Lukkie and Lambertus. What an amazing job they have done. The property was set in the gorgeous Zeeland countryside in a small peaceful Hamlet called Dreischor. They welcomed us with open arms and we immediately felt at home. Our dog Betsy normally takes time to adjust, but she felt at home instantly, which is a good sign! We felt we had enough privacy, but with the option to bump into our lovely neighbours we would say hello and chat when we wanted. Lambertus and Lukkie gave us great recommendations in the area. The property had all the amenities and was well kept, clean and with the most beautiful gardens! Although it rained (a lot!) during our stay, we kept warm and happy reading and enjoying the peaceful rest. There’s lots of things in area. Beaches and walks, beautiful cafes. We would stay again!! We found the perfect spot to spend a few days in the Breukelen / Maarssen area. Able to live like a local by biking to shops and touring the area. Nicolette and Remko made our stay so pleasant and were very friendly to help with plans or a quick chat. The space inside was lovely and roomy. Lots of place to relax outside too. Great biking and boating in the area - follow their recommendations. Most welcoming hosts we have met. Thank you for everything.

We had a really great time at this place! The location was very peaceful and calm. The house had all amenities we needed. The yard was lovely to sit and relax and our dog enjoyed there as well especially with the goats, chickens and the owner's dog! It was a first time caravan experience and it is a perfect place for a relaxing vacation! Esther, Michel and their kids were extremely friendly, responsive and gave us lots of local recommendations. We felt right at home :) Would visit again!

Had a great time! We knew it would be a bit tighter but that was no problem for us. Not even with a dog and a small one of 1. The space is great and so is the area. Plenty of beautiful hiking routes in the area and a very nice zoo. Rianne is a top host and provides you with everything you need. We had a very nice and pleasant time. Thanks again!

I had an amazing time at the cabin. I am a florist and I came from the USA for the flowers and to learn as much as I could about them, the farming, the flower auctions & the marketing and advertising while I was here. I was traveling solo and her cabin is a perfect location for it all and I felt safe there through out my stay. I also loved the fact that I had the quiet woods and farmland surrounding me but could also be at the beach in a blink of an eye! She was an amazing host with the biggest heart and wonderful recommendations. I so wish to come back one day with my daughter. The cabin and The Netherlands have my heart now! :) Thank you for an amazing trip. P.s.- If you plan to stay here, maybe bring a flashlight because the trail in the woods to the cabin can get a little dark at night! ;)

A pretty little cottage in a quiet location with many exceptional details! Large living room with view of the fields. Well-equipped kitchen. Idyllic courtyard with BBQ and fire pit, plus sandbox! One double bedroom is separate, the children's room is right next to the living room. The upper room is on a gallery with a slope under the roof, but also very cozy. Many excursion destinations in close proximity, we highly recommend Alkmaar! A vacation here is relaxing and varied! Thanks to Leonel and Cor, who were always available and very friendly!

Cute and cozy spot with beautiful surroundings and accommodating hosts, conveniently close to the city without all the hustle & bustle. We especially loved renting a boat nearby at Bootverhuur Overleek and exploring the surrounding villages along picturesque canals. A lovely spot to stay.

I felt completely at home in the Vogelvlucht for three weeks. Nice balance between respect for privacy and involvement/ hospitality of Irma and her husband. And full of comforts to stay comfortably for a longer period of time. I can recommend it to everyone.

This garden hideaway was a perfect place to unwind and take walks to magical places nearby. After several days in various cities I was ready for a break. A nearby island with a beach can reach by a pedestrian bridge just past the little grocery store. An old forest preserve with long allees of towering trees leading to a manor house and gardens can be reached just up the road in the other direction. Other reviews mentioned the occasional sound of planes which I barely registered. The sounds of the city were replace by the sound of wind in the trees and of a neighborhood rooster in the morning which I liked. Marjolein and Anton were a sheer delignt. Take a break and stay here for a few days.

My thanks to Wilma and family for their friendliness and being so helpful. I have had a most wonderful time. Will miss the farm and the animals. I wish them huge success with their dairy farm. Fantastic house. Well equipped and everything you need in the kitchen. House was quiet and private with a great feel to it. Would strongly recommend. Illonka greeted us and made sure we were comfortable. We couldn’t asked for more

We stayed a few nights with our 2 small kids, mainly to visit Amsterdam, and had a wonderful time. The house was great for us, very clean, enough space for everyone, very nice neighbourhood and restaurants and shops were close by bike or walking. We took the car to the nearest train station (Bussum Zuid) with free parking but without kids and less rain, walking would also have been easily possible. Jaap was very friendly and helpful and we felt very welcome. We would happily come again!

We had a really enjoyable time staying in Annemarie and Dirk’s cottage. It was well positioned for our day excursions and having bikes available to use was a highlight. On Annemarie’s advice we caught the ferry to dinner and biked home along canals - magic! Great hosts who helped us wirh our questions. Highly recommend staying here.

Karin's stay was super. Everything was neat and clean and as described in the listing. The beach is a 30-minute walk away. First through the forest and then through the beautiful dunes. Shops are easy to get to. In short, we enjoyed it and I will definitely recommend Karin's accommodation.

Probably had the best airbnb stay we have ever had in our years of travel. Wanting to get outside the city, we randomly selected Almere and boy did we have an amazing time. First and foremost, Joyce was the friendliest and kindest host we have had. She had great local recommendations, was lovely to chat with, and is so lovely. Her tiny home is amazing! Comfy bed, everything you need, and the best view. We enjoyed just sitting outside and watching the animals. On top of that, we used the tandem bike to explore town and had a great time. PLEASE visit this town and spend your vacation with Joyce. We will 1000% return.
