Greeny View, Old Quoyscottie

Such a great place to stay and close to the sights to see on the west side of the island. So much kitchen space and the amenities were excellent.

Flat 24, Garden Street

SusanRating, 5 stars3 days ago
I booked the apartment as my family and I were attending a wedding. I did not stay here, unfortunately, it was my son, his partner and grandson who stayed here. I went with them to meet Jean and she was there to greet us. The apartment is a stones throw from the town. It is immaculate and fully equipped down to toothbrush with paste. The cupboards and fridge had extras including milk, bread and a basket of Orkney products ie tablet and fudge. When we return to Orkney this is the place we will endeavour to book. My family loved this accommodation so much that they didn’t want to return home. Thank you for your hospitality Jean you’re a superstar!
A landscape view captures rolling fields transitioning from green to golden hues under a cloudy sky. Hoy Island is visible in the distance, framed by the calm waters of the sea as the sun sets, casting warm tones across the scenery.

Langwell Bothy

JacquiRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Langwell was my wee haven. Very private and my dog loved to sit looking out the front window to the amazing view while I just loved the treat of coffee in bed while looking out to sea. Very clean and warm and well stocked with tea and coffee as well as the full complement of apps in the telly so nice to snuggle in watching a film when Orkney decides to be blustery!! Would really recommend- great value all round!!

We enjoyed our stay very much in this comfortable cottage. The cottage has great facilities for cooking and laundry. The beds were also very comfortable The location is great for visiting many of the sites on Orkney. We would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful stay. The communication from Ann-Marie and Duncan was great with an easy check-in and Check-out. We would definately stay here again when Visiting Orkney.

North Walls Kirk

IanRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The Old Kirk was quite stunning - as soon as we unlocked and opened the door, we could see the charm and wonder of the whole place. It was superbly furnished and quite delightful, with so many interesting things dotted around... ...a real home from home and on quite a grand scale. Hoy is a charmingly remote and sometimes desolate place, but the Old Kirk was always a delight to come back to - so warm and cosy. We were particularly lucky that there was a folk music concert (Saltfishforty) on the Friday we were there, right next door in the Gable End Theatre - and we had two meals at Emily's, just up the road. A wonderful 4 days - Thanks, Inga.
A well-behaved dog sits in the grassy garden area of the cottage, with a stone structure and wooden fence in the background. The entrance of the cottage is visible, framed by greenery and against a blue sky with scattered clouds.

A living area is presented with a soft grey color scheme. A round table is positioned centrally with a flower vase containing vibrant blooms. Two cozy sofas are placed opposite each other, and a patterned rug adds texture to the space. Natural light brightens the room from a nearby window.

Modern house | Great location in Kirkwall

LizRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Everything about this house was perfect. It suited us (2 adults, 1 teen) and all our needs were met with ease. Spacious, comfortable, very clean, great parking, excellent amenities and we felt right ‘at home’. The location in Kirkwall was great and - it has to be said - at night it was silent...absolutely silent and we all slept so well here. We made use of the washing machine and had the clothes airer set up in living room which dried quite quickly with the wall heater going. The kitchen has everything you’d need to self-cater. Access (check in) was easy, as was check-out. The styling of this property wasn’t over the top either - we loved it. Nothing but high praise for Louise’s place on Old Scapa Road and we would happily stay here again. Orkney is incredible!
A serene beach scene features soft sand extending into calm waters. Gentle waves lap at the shore, while grassy vegetation borders the beach. Small islands are visible in the distance, with a clear sky overhead, providing a tranquil atmosphere.
