My second time staying and I enjoy the peaceful surroundings!

Wow! What a beautiful home and property! We spent the weekend catching up with friends, cooking delicious meals in the well-stocked kitchen, and relaxing in the hot tub. It was the perfect place to unplug and unwind. It was the most “homey” of any Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in! I was especially impressed by how clean everything was and how thoughtfully stocked the space was. From the variety of kitchen supplies to a pour-over coffee setup, and even extra towels for the hot tub, we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Holly was hands-down the most proactive and responsive host I’ve ever encountered, making the experience seamless from booking to checkout. I only wish we could have stayed longer! I’m already dreaming about when we’ll return. Thank you, Holly, for sharing such a beautiful home and experience!

We had such a great stay! The place is so beautifully decorated and we loved the special touches like hot chocolate mix. Looks just like the pictures and is tucked away which made us feel very private. It is under a hair salon that I was able to pop up to as well!

This is a great place to stay if you're wanting a secluded and romantic getaway. It's the kind of place where if it rained the whole time you're there (like it did for us), you wouldn't care because it's so cozy and well-equipped. Plus, the sound of rain on the metal roof is soothing. The owners have done a great job with the decor and all of the thoughtful touches. Keep in mind that if you're planning on making a visit to downtown Marshall part of your vacation, many of the reviews you'll find online of downtown are pre-hurricane Helene. The town (and most of the restaurants and shops) were destroyed. They had started to rebuild when we were there (April), but almost nothing was open yet. So, check before you go.

It was absolutely beautiful and had the greatest time. I loved the bathroom and bathtub. That was my most favorite part. The bridge over the pond was a beautiful experience, definitely at night

We loved taking our toddler down to the river and taking in the view from the deck. The home was spacious, clean, and offered everything we needed.

Our family of 5, including 3 teenagers, had a lovely time at Alex’s home for spring break. The home was well maintained and had all the necessities needed. The location was perfect for us to unwind from our busy routines. Pleasing teenagers is one hard task but this house did the trick with fishing, paddle boards, and the hot tub. While there were enough bedrooms for each kid, they decided the bunk bed room was their favorite so they all stayed in there! Alex was very responsive to the questions we had during our stay. We would definitely consider coming back again!

Summer Hill is less than 15 minutes from Tusculum University and was close to everything we needed for our trip. The house was clean, comfortable and pleasantly decorated. The hosts were very responsive and kind enough to accommodate a special request that we had. The kitchen was fully functional and we were able to cook several meals during our stay. For coffee fanatics (we had a few), there is a Keurig and a small regular coffeemaker. There is a Summer Hill sign at the end of the driveway however it is black so if you are arriving in the dark, you cannot see it. The GPS takes you to a steep gravel driveway that was a bit tough for my mid size sedan but there is a back entrance that is smoother. Summer Hill is a duplex but the back patios are completely separate and private and it did not feel like we were in an attached house. Overall, it was a lovely stay and we would book again.

Our stay was magical. We will book again! From a practical standpoint- the cabin had everything we needed to cook (in gorgeous and sparkly purple cookware), was warm and cozy (with explicit notes on how to make sure we stayed that way through the cold snap during our visit), was isolated without cell service (which we wanted all along and a big reason why we booked the cabin), the satellite wi-fi worked great and there was a great collection of DVDs just in case it didn’t, and the yard was fantastic, pretty, and if it hadn’t been raining we would have built campfires. The humor of the cabin’s hangings was also very much appreciated! The only challenging part was how quickly the water heater went past its capacity, though this was clearly explained in the Cabin Guidelines, along with tips on how to make sure you have enough hot water to enjoy a bath in the claw-foot tub. Another tip to prevent running out of hot water is to turn off the water while you sudz up!
