We loved our stay here. Fit 7 people easily. Very nice place and fit our needs perfectly! I will say parking was a little challenging with a boat but we were able to make it work! Will be staying here again next time we are go to Summersville Lake!

Cranberry Mountain Lodge

WendiRating, 5 stars18 months ago
This is a cozy cabin on beautiful property with hiking trails right out the door, a small stocked pond, and great sledding hills. The road to the cabin was rougher than expected but we also arrived after lots of rain. I would not advise arriving after dark. The main floor is spacious with lots of seating and a large smart TV. The woodstove is awesome and puts out an incredible amount of heat. The mattresses are all medium-firm. No plush pillowtops here. But we knew this ahead of time and brought mattress toppers for those who needed them. Lots of warm blankets and comforters. We loved that the house uses solar and hydroelectric. This did mean monitoring the house’s power and several power outages, but it was always easy to get back online. And the house has a generator if needed. As a host, John‘s service and welcoming feel are unparalleled, and it felt like we were staying at the house of friends while they were out of town. He truly wants his guests to have a great experience.

Grassy Meadow Getaway - HOT TUB!

FaitheRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Lovely stay. Beautiful surroundings. We loved the porch areas and the fire pit. There’s no dishwasher but we just got paper plates later on. There’s a ton of plates, mugs, appliances, silverware and such. There was also only seating for 4. This was pictured in the listing but important to note if you are coming with 6 people. 20 minutes from Canyon Rim Visitors Center which was amazing. Good amenities for a baby. Overall loved our stay and we would stay here again.
The exterior of a rustic mountain house is presented, featuring wooden siding and a welcoming porch. Sturdy rock landscaping is visible, with mountain views in the background under an overcast sky. A satellite dish is mounted on the roof, indicating modern connectivity.

Rebel Cabin

ChristineRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We enjoyed getting away for a few days. The cabin was perfect. It was peaceful and quiet with a very nice hot tub. The cabin was clean and had all the amenities we needed. We relaxed at the cabin when we were not out hiking the many trails in the area or going downtown to eat at the restaurants near by. We also used the kitchen when we wanted to eat in. Again, it was the perfect getaway. We can’t wait to go back again.
The exterior of the cabin features a vibrant red facade with a metal roof. A welcoming porch is accessible by wooden steps, surrounded by a natural landscape of trees and leaves. The structure blends rustic charm with modern elements.

The cabin was beautiful, just as described and very neat and clean. We had two adults and four teens and it was plenty of space. The kitchen is fully stocked and had everything we needed. Nice loft area with TV, games and a nice sectional sofa. We used the fire pit and the hot tub was great. Very private and quiet area. Trish was fantastic to work with and immediately responded when I had any questions. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Super friendly host in a cabin that’s perfectly private and easy to get to - very close to town. Loved the included pizza and breakfast. Even helped me retrieve a piece of jewelry that fell down the sink drain immediately and with no complaints. Thank you!

Newly Remodeled Cabin, Hot tub, Game Room

StevenRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Great stay overall, would recommend to a friend! We were climbing in New River Gorge Proper and Summerville, and the house served as a great basecamp. The 2nd floor loft is a very cozy retreat! My only notes are that the interior lighting could use some improvement (low lamps instead of overhead lighting), and blackout curtains would be nice to insulate sleepers from passing headlights. Light sleepers might want to bring earplugs & eye mask to block out the road noise & light.
