Tent vacation rentals in Great Rift Valley

Lovely experience staying on the escarpment at the Villa, which had an amazing lookout point to the mara ecosystem below! Some of us spent hours just looking out at the vast landscape, spotting groups of elephants and other animals. As it was the rainy season, we saw a beautiful rainbow across the mara one day. The rooms are designed well and kept very clean and tidy. Hot showers are available. We enjoyed the food prepared by the lovely staff and also felt like the experience was private enough to be relaxing. Lots of animals passing by and cute cats. Highly recommended to all.

Very nice and clean space, looks like on the pictures, we had a good time. Just note that on the premise are also two other Airbnbs that Esther rents out. One container and one single room. We thought we would have the lounge/kitchen area all to ourselves, but if the other Airbnbs are booked there is not so much privacy. The communal space is shared with the one bedroom apartment. On our second night the container was booked and we felt limited in our privacy since the premise is quite small. Apart from that all was fine, surroundings felt safe and quiet, but it is quite far from the city centre.

This place was the perfect getaway—serene, quaint, and peaceful. I loved every moment of my stay! Chef Hellen provided exceptional meals, and the gentleman who kept the bonfire going added such a warm touch to the experience. The service was top-notch, and I’d love to return in the future. Highly recommend!

I wanted to get away from the city and this was the perfect spot for a quiet and private getaway. I appreciated the comfortable bed and waking up to the sound of the river and the birds. I really liked the outdoor tub and the quick walk down to the river. Kevin was responsive and gave clear instructions, and other staff members at the property were very nice and helpful. Overall, I highly recommend this place and I see myself coming back.

We had such a wonderful stay! The tent was in perfect condition and spacious. The bathroom and shower that was available for us to use was clean and well kept. The view was beautiful especially in the morning and evening when it was high tide. There are plenty of tables, chairs, and lounge chairs to relax in. There were numerous outlets available to charge devices. There aren’t any shops very close so I would recommend bringing water / snacks to have with you. The breakfast that was included was yummy and filling! There is a small outdoor fridge and an outdoor kitchen if you’re looking to make your own food. Sissy, her husband, and their daughter were the perfect hosts - kind, welcoming, and lovely to chat with. We hope we cross paths with them again! :)

What a magical place! Taking a shower while you see the monkeys playing around and the moon is priceless! The setup is great, has everything for a few days and Iain was absolutely wonderful in helping out with suggestions/recommendations, as well as George (caretaker) and the local driver David who were much appreciated throughout my stay :) location is quiet and a close walk to the beach, bed is super comfy and everything was simply great!!

Fantastic! We stayed in the safari tents and they were perfect. Right by the ocean and best place to swim in Watamu and in the forest with great shaded nooks to relax and explore. Highly recommend.

What a beautiful gem! Perfect place to relax in nature that's less than an hour away from Nairobi and at a reasonable price. Monique provided great instructions and support, Mary was great as was her food (amazing chai!) & she made sure we had everything we needed, and Jackson made sure we saw all the animals we could on the safari! As others have said, the outdoor shower was amazing - hot water against the slight wind was an awesome experience. The shallow pool was nice to dip in. The outdoor fire was nice while stargazing. Overall, a relaxing great place.
