Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Goochland County

We loved it! It’s a very nice and quiet area for a perfect weekend getaway at the lake. Of course, we were sold on the idea of having a private dock to use as well. House has plenty of space and we had a lot of fun with their different puzzles and board games available. Zack and Kate are very responsive and friendly hosts.

This was a perfect spot for my 2-year old, 2 dogs, and myself. It's a great deal for the location & a parking pass included for the area. Loved our stay & would definitely book here again.

Patricia was an amazing hostess. Very gracious made it a home away from home. It was hard to leave for our concert nearby. Very relaxing cabin,we even slept very well there. Normally we don’t sleep well when we are away from home.

Great place! Cute little house and well maintained. Just needs more eating utensils. Our pup loved the yard.

Rustic country farmhouse, very clean inside and very peaceful outside. Conveniently located near Mount Ida Reserve where my daughter was getting married. Susan was right on top of it with messaging and even received a package containing my son's Tux that arrived before we did! Highly recommend, great value for the price :)

We were in town for a family wedding and wanted a peaceful place to stay where our dogs could get some exercise. Luke was extremely accommodating and friendly. The location was beautiful and we enjoyed the trails with our dogs. The cabin had everything we needed but kept the rustic charm. I enjoyed watching the horses in the pasture from the back screened in porch. We will definitely return when visiting family again.

We had a great stay—the backyard is beautiful and peaceful; the pool resort-quality and refreshing; kitchen well-equipped for preparing chef-quality meals; house full of interesting reads, artwork, and games. Everyone from 9 to 92 enjoyed the house. We also explored the neighborhood and found it close to all sorts of interesting places right out the front door. Would definitely stay again next time we come to Richmond.

We’ve had this trip booked for over a year and Lake Glen Haven did not disappoint. We were greeted by the sweetest goats, sheep, and cow named Theodore when we arrived. There was even some feed on the picnic table that we could give them. Darn fresh eggs in the fridge and the swimming hole right out front? Get outta here. My kids 10, 8, and 3 were in HEAVEN! There were trails to hike and kayaks to take out on the small lake. Fishing, an island to explore and a charming Farm Store that sold local honey and homemade ice cream sandwiches strictly by honor system. Oh wait, and a tree house! Despite less than awesome weather our family had an amazing time. We were lucky enough to meet and chat with Ashleigh who told us all about the property and her adorable farm animals. Do not hesitate to book. So many memories were made! 5 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Heather was an extremely attentive and excellent host. We asked a lot of questions and she responded quickly. She was kind enough to give a few of us a tour of the grounds and brought one of the horses by to pet. The house is beautiful and extremely spacious, clean, and well kept. We definitely enjoyed and appreciated the hospitality that Heather showed us during her stay! 10s across the board.

This was a gem of a place in such gorgeous surroundings. It was truly a special experience to have private access to the pool and huge back patio. I appreciate Lesley’s efforts with such a thoughtful and tasteful beach theme throughout this pool house. We enjoyed everything inside and out!

We are repeat guests and they minute we find out we have to be in Richmond, it's an automatic click. The hospitality of the owners is top level. The house is well stocked and has pretty much all cooking supplies you could ever need. The pool was so key this last stay because it was so hot and the water was refreshing! We felt right at home. Great guest instructions and easy checking in as well as checking out. Again, automatic booking for us when we need to be in Richmond!

Jodi was the sweetest host! She was so quick to respond to any of our questions or needs. The pool was the perfect spot where we spent much of our time. The screened in porch was also so lovely!

Our family stayed for a beautiful weekend we called a "tree-cation," and this cabin was a perfect spot! everything was exactly as described, and the beds and couches were so cozy. It was the perfect home to slow down and enjoy each other's company, and we enjoyed puzzling on the game table as much as our peaceful evenings on the back porch! Our kids loved the cocoa treats! Its close enough to Richmond to have everything we could need, and yet it felt private enough to feel like we were "getting away from it all." highly recommended!

We attended a wedding nearby so this was the perfect location. The setting was just as described, quiet & peaceful. The walk to river was lovely. It’s not too far outside Richmond with plenty to do We really enjoyed the stay and would definitely book again! Oh, and they accommodate dogs which was a plus for our two little doggies.

Tamara is an excellent host. From booking until my departure, I had no issues and my entire experience was hassle-free. The home was in pristine condition and all of our needs were met. I would recommend to anyone traveling in the area!

Charming house on a peaceful property and very convenient to nearby wedding venue. Elizabeth was available if needed and made check-in super easy. We had a great stay and loved seeing the horses, barn cat, and guinea hens!

We had an awesome time staying at the cottage, perfect location near tons of restaurants and shops with a quick drive to Richmond. We booked specifically for the dog friendly aspect and everything was better than described, LARGE fenced in yard with tons of space and outdoor community seating area with tables/chairs to enjoy the sounds of nature right outside. We loved sitting under the porch listening to the birds while our dog roamed the yard getting in all the smells. Cottage has comfy king bed with full fridge, easily controlled AC, microwave and any dishes/utensils that you would need. Owner was SUPER sweet and spoke with us on the way out asking to pet our pup and if she could have treats. We would recommend this cottage to those who have pets and still want to be able to explore the variety of dog friendly places around the Richmond area while also feeling at ease leaving them at the cottage while doing activities without your pet. We would stay here again!

This little place was the perfect home-away-from-home. The kitchen had everything we needed for our two night stay and more (even a water filter in the fridge!). It was spotless, clean, and cute! Great hosts Nic & Britt were super responsive. Adorable place to stay!

Loved this air bnb, one of my favorites. It’s a quiet place. Nice farm setting. You feel safe on the property. Clean and nice comfortable bed. Allows pets, which is a must for me. A few downsides. There’s a flight of stairs getting up to the living area. So if you have a lot of luggage, it makes it difficult. The pathway is also gravel, so pulling a cart behind to the entrance can also take some effort. Other than that, no big issues. Again, one of my favorite places!!

We needed a space that was completely private to get away from our very busy lives and this was it. This is glamping at its finest. While you wont see another person around, you will see lots of deer and bunnies. Fishing was great especially with the boats that are provided. Plenty of firewood is provided for the outdoor fireplace and make sure you look up at night because there is 0 light pollution. Remember, this is a cabin in the woods so bugs are present, bring bug spray! Your host is very accommodating and very good at responding to anything you need. I will be recommending this place to everyone I know and hopefully I get to go back!
