Ski in winter, including ski in ski out (snow depth dependent). Escape the heat to mountain breezes and bike or hike in summer! Small, but thoughtfully equipped. *winter 2025 is byo towels and linen due to a new baby and no capacity to do linen. Price altered accordingly. The Mine Managers Suite at Avalon House has some of the original timber wall panelling dating back to 1889 giving it old word charm whilst upgraded modern amenities make it a warm and comfortable private apartment for two. This was the residence of Thomas Davey who managed the Harrietville Gold Company till the great depression in the 20’s. With a private pet friendly courtyard, it is in the centre of town walking distance to Cafes, Parks, Rivers, Pubs and all Harrietville has to offer.

Our guest house is a two-story lodge with an open fire, communal kitchen & living area, 2 shared bathrooms & separate toilets, 6 rooms (with space for an additional two single beds in the living area.) We're on the edge of the Alpine National Park in a ruggedly beautiful valley. Our remoteness means we rely on solar & a small hydro system so there's no TV & mobile reception is very patchy. But with fishing, walking & cycling opportunities galore, you'll want to leave the screens at home.

What a magical place! My friends and I had an incredible stay here for the weekend. We loved exploring the farm and being able to pet the alpacas and goats. We couldn’t believe how many kangaroos we got to see around the property. The home itself had everything we needed. Wonderful views, gorgeous rooftop, spacious kitchen, lush bathroom. We couldn’t ask for more! Vickie and Ed were fantastic hosts. Very responsive and made us feel welcome immediately. Definitely would love to stay here again!

A Hidden Gem in the High Country – Pure Bliss We spent two incredible nights at Glen Wills Mountain Retreat, and it felt like stepping into another world. Surrounded by snow, no internet, no phone, just pure peace, fresh mountain air, and the crackle of the wood-fired pizza oven outside. The rooms were warm, cosy, and full of charm. But what truly made it unforgettable was our host, Gordon (Grody), the kindest soul we’ve ever met. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, cared for, and completely at home. And sweet Dodo, his friendly dog, added so much joy to our stay. Always around, always gentle, he made the retreat feel even more special. This place isn’t just a stay, it’s a memory we’ll treasure. Can’t wait to return.

We had a wonderful time at this secluded spot at the foot of the mountains; a gorgeous get away with everything you need an a terrific tiny home unlike anything we’d stayed in before. Beautiful inside and out, cosy and comfy. The hosts were helpful with check in and stayed in touch before hand.

Our stay at Red Earth lodge was just amazing. Eibhlin was a wonderfully responsive host from whom you get the sense that she genuinely hopes your stay is as pleasurable as possible. The sparkling upon arrival helped us celebrate an important family occasion and the lodge was impeccable and flawless.
