Vacation rentals with breakfast in Gjirokastër County

Although we arrived in the evening when it was dark already, Bjants mom took the time to give us a wonderful welcome, including some homemade treats in the impressive living room. The bedroom was cosy and tasteful with a comfy bed and everything you need. It was clean and the lovely grandmother served us a nice breakfast in the morning. It was a special experience to stay in such an old and traditional house and be hosted by Bjants family. Bjant was available at all times, replying instantly to any questions we had. FYI, turn the shower fixture to the right for a hot shower ;) Thanks and all the best to you and your family, Franzi & Anna

An exceptional Airbnb stay! The hosts are welcoming & make you feel like home. The experience was perfect because of the couple who made us feel like part of the family. The breakfast was delicious. The views from the terrace and the room are breathtaking. The room cosy & clean. The location is close to the castle & the old bazaar but do prepare for some walking up & down hills as that’s part of the beauty of Gjirokastër. We recommend this stay to anyone visiting the city & hope to be back next year!

DON'T hesitate...book. this place is unreal. It is so unique. The little touches and the ambiance set this place apart. The host is amazing. So very accommodating.

I had a great time and if I were to return to the area I would definitely consider coming back here. The accommodation is near the center of Permet, there are the main amenities and the location is quiet. Shanas' grandmother welcomed us, a delightful person who speaks only Albanian. There were minor glitches, plumbing issues, and no blinds or curtains for the night. As negligible things , overall the judgment remains very positive . Thanks and see you next time

Don't think about it. Just book this place now! This was exactly the kind of place I was looking for. I was staying in Sarande at a hotel prior to booking this place. The hotel was great but I wanted something closer to the REAL Albania. I found it here. I was actually surprised that I found this place on Airbnb. It was old school Airbnb...where someone opens up their home to you and you are able to experience the hospitality of the host or hostess. It's not your typical Airbnb place either. This is a typical family farm that is found in so many places in eastern Europe. It is not the kind of farm you would find in Canada or the US that are hundred of acres in size. The home is situated on about 0.5 acres or 0.2 hectares of land surrounded by the typical rock walls you find surrounding many homes in Albania. What kind of animals do you find here? Chickens, sheep, goats, rabbits and even ducks. Yes, there is a garden for vegetables and grape vines throughout the property. Please don't think this a petting zoo farm... this is a working family farm that provides food for the family and you if you stay here. It is a modest home that has been in the family for many years, it is on a plot of land that has provided the food and shelter for the family for countless generations. I have nothing but enormous respect for the hostess and her family. It was the kind of home that my parents grew up in Ukraine. This is what attracted me to this place. These people are salt of the earth. Humble, happy and proud. Respect. I could write a short book about my stay here. To sum up, it was wonderful. I have stayed at my fair share of Airbnb places, but this is my most favorite place ever. I did not want to leave and I do plan to return and stay much longer than the ~10 days I was there. What are the highlights of my visit? 1. The hostess Alexandra and her dear mother. Real people. 2. Coffee with fresh goat milk every morning. Yes, it's that good. 3. The sunrise in the valley. Breathtaking. 4. The amazing hikes up the mountain and in through the valley. There are so many ruins and hidden cool places to discover. 5. Taking the goats and sheep grazing in the morning. Yes I did that!!! 6. I'm not going to give it all away...book this place and I'll let you discover all the wonderful things here on your own. Alexandra and her mother don't speak English. This was not a problem at all. I downloaded the microsoft translator to my phone. It allows two people to communicate back and forth at the push of a button. It made communicating with the hostess very easy. I had many wonderful conversations with Alexandra and her dear mother many times using this translator. So you will be just fine. Look... this is a farm. It smells like a farm where the animals live and it has bugs...get over it. If you are looking for Disney World or the Ritz Carlton...look somewhere else. This place is perfect the way it is and I will be returning in the near future. The apartment is clean and well equipped. The internet works great. My cell phone worked just fine. It has a great stove for cooking and a washing machine to wash your clothes. It has a TV, but why would you watch TV when you are in such a wonderful environment to explore? There are places to buy groceries to cook food...OR...you can arrange with Alexandra to prepare meals for you each day. That is what I did. Breakfast and dinner. So I didn't have to cook or buy anything extra to survive. It's up to you. I chose to eat home cooked food from the farm...how can you beat that??? There is so much more to say...but... Don't think about it. Just book this place now!

Ci ha accolto la madre di Anna che anche non parlando la nostra lingua è stata super carina e disponibile in tutto. È stato come essere a casa di nonna. Ci sono 3 bagni e la cucina molto grande per mangiare tutti insieme. Giardino accogliente con tanti gattini. Posizione top per spostarsi nella regione di himare (la più bella per spiagge). Lontano da caos e movida perfetta per chi vuole una location rilassata e carina. Ristoranti molto buoni nei dintorni.

super fijne ontvangst, mooie kamer met een fantastisch uitzicht op het kasteel en het centrum. Heerlijk ontbijt . echt een aanrader voor wie 2 dagen in Gjirokaster wil verblijven!

My family had a great time in Saranda, this house was perfect place to stay to be close to everything! You will need a car to explore the are, there is so much to see. Our hosts were very kind family and welcomed us for our stay. The house is very clean and have everything you need to feel at home during your trip. We appreciate the local recommendations, easy communication and privacy during our stay. Amazing place with great host family!

Merci à nos hôtes (probablement les parents de Bledar) qui nous ont accueilli avec le sourire malgré nos changements d'horaire d'arrivée ! malgré la barrière de la langue nous avons réussi à nous comprendre grâce à des échanges avec les enfants ! Nous avons eu une coupure d'électricité dans la soirée qui a très vite été résolu avec tous les efforts de la famille. Le petit plus : c'est le petit déjeuner copieux qui n'est pas mentionné dans l'annonce mais qui est préparé aux petits soins le matin ! Merci à vous tous

The place is very clean and comfortable. It is easy to find thanks attached pictures and park a car (for free). Description of the listing and pictures reflects this place. The bed is huge and comfortable. We spent there 1 night, I recommend this place

El apartamento muy cómodo perfecto para una pareja o hasta 3 personas, todo muy ordenado, la anfitriona disponible cuando le escribía, lo único que podría decir es respecto al estacionamiento que realmente no hay pero veo q es un problema general en todo Sarande, a unos pasos del departamento hay un estacionamiento de pago, no es lo ideal, pero está cerca, departamento se encuentra muy bien ubicados, nuestra estancia fue muy agradable, seguramente lo recomiendo

Sehr nette Gastgeberin. Wir wurden direkt empfangen und uns wurde der Parkplatz gezeigt. Das Zimmer war sehr schön und man war in ca. 15 min zu Fuß im Zentrum und an der Burg. Am Morgen gab es ein leckeres Frühstück mit Blick auf die Berge von der Terrasse. ☺️

Gjirokaster is a great town. The people are so welcoming and it's full of atmosphere. This is an amazing place to stay, with stunning views and a homely feel. Our host was amazing. Her garden and organic breakfast is magnificent. If you arrive by bus, it's best to get a 5 euro cab up and then walk to the castle and old town.

We werden vriendelijk ontvangen en de auto kon direct naast het appartement staan. Kregen veel tips voor mooie locaties in de omgeving. Hele vriendelijke mensen die ons altijd met alles wilden helpen. Ook het ontbijt was heerlijk en werd super goed verzorgd met eten uit eigen tuin! De plek zelf is heerlijk rustig en toch op een prima loopafstand van het stadje. Het enige puntje wat verbeterd zou kunnen worden is iets donkere gordijnen zodat we in de ochtend minder snel wakker zouden worden van het licht. Verder hebben wij hier een super goed en fijn verblijf gehad!!!

Mein Airbnb-Aufenthalt war großartig! Die Unterkunft war sauber, gemütlich und genau wie beschrieben. Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich würde definitiv wiederkommen!

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit bei Irsida und ihrer Familie. Die Aussicht auf Gjirokastra ist fantastisch, das Frühstück sehr lecker und die schöne Altstadt einfach zu Fuß zu erreichen. Außerdem waren Irsida und ihr Mann ausgesprochen gastfreundlich und herzlich, sodass wir uns von Beginn an sehr wohl gefühlt haben.

The owners were incredibly friendly, their hospitality was outstanding. We felt very safe and welcome.

Le logement : impeccable et vraiment beau avec de belles moulures en bois. Très typique et très agréable. Les hôtes : j ai rarement vu des gens si sympathiques. On était perdus dans la ville, ils sont venus nous chercher. Toujours à votre service. Vraiment de chouettes personnes. Et ils ont un excellent restaurant pour pas cher du tout (+/- 20€ pour deux personnes)
