Castle vacation rentals in Girona

Sebastian and Gloria have a true gem in the beautiful Catalonian country. Close to beautiful Vic and amazing villages (one of the best bakery’s is just a short distance away!) this is a must-stop spot if you are coming to the area. The home and its history is magical and the rooms are so gorgeous and comfy - we cannot wait to get back there with our family. Gloria and Sebastian were the kindest hosts you could ask for - we felt like long time friends after the first meeting and their passion for their property is unmatched. I cannot recommend this home enough and we are are already dreaming of our return trip.

I've stayed in many airbnbs and this is my favourite of all time. An incredible home with beautiful surroundings. Sitting in the living room watching the fire feels like you could be living centuries ago. The hosts went above and beyond, they made us feel like special guests. Highly recommended.

It was such an honor being able to stay in this beautiful castle. Marc & Ginny have worked hard to be stewards of this millenium-old monument & it shows throughout. Their care & attention to detail made the place feel so welcoming while also preserving its historic charm. After some travel hiccups, they still greeted us late into the night to make sure we arrived safely. Throughout our week stay there, they showed us around the property, explained its history, told stories of the area, & made us feel special. Everything about our stay was dreamy & we will surely be returning. This castle is a very magical place which deserves all the respect of its guests. To be able to stay there at all was such a pleasure & made even more so by the lovely hosts.

This is a special place. It has the perfect balance between a medieval castle and a liveable modern house. The internal spaces are fine and the external spaces are really a pleasure. The little town is beautiful and quiet, and there are so many things to do in l’Empordà. Adrià is a fantastic host - always responsive and helpful. 100% recommended

There isn’t a better villa in all of Spain. This one is close to a phenomenal winery, perfect dining, and ideal location. Waking up in the palatial home was a dream. We could t have been happier.

Joan is very beautiful. It's very easy to understand with him. Montse and Diego, their parents, live in the castle. They are a great marriage that welcomed us great and we were very comfortable. We met the whole family and they are very friendly, polite and nice. They live downstairs and are ideal neighbors. Sant Feliu de la Garriga is a medieval fortification. I recommend it just having the opportunity to live in such an old space. It's a wonder of beauty and silence. The details are made gracefully. Nothing unheatable. It has the harmony of things cared for with intelligence and love. You enter the central courtyard. It's beautiful, with ivy on its walls. Swallows nest and fly inside. You walk up to the first floor on a spiral staircase in the middle of the patio. And everything you care about is coming home with a GREAT pulley system. The apartment you rent is the one upstairs from everything. It has a huge terrace with spectacular views and two areas for lunch and dinner. Three very comfortable rooms that have everything you need. They have thought of everything; store clothes, hangers behind doors, mosquito nets, you are like me that you can't sleep if there is light… A living room with a table for lunch and dinner, TV, couches... Gas stove that works great and a bathroom with hot water and great views. The views are spectacular from every window in the house. The house belongs to Viladamat which is 5 minutes by car. Those 5 minutes change everything. One of our fears was that it was hot; being high always runs at least a breeze and the interior of the house with the strategy of drafts of air currents and closing of windows that overlook the sun remained cool even on days when there was a heatwave. The castle's location is ideal. The beaches of Sant Martí de Empúries and San Pedro Pescador are next door 10 min drive. If you are andarin or cyclist, the house is surrounded by forest and behind the castle you have kilometers of slopes and trails to make long routes in a very untraveled area and with very few houses and small villages.

We had a too short stay at Andrea & Carolinas accomodation for the amazing place it is. It is well worth a visit with great opportunities to spend the days and two very lovely hosts. Great recommendation!

We stayed here in April as a family with a 7 year old. This is not just a place to stay, it's a wonderful experience! The castle is gorgeous and has an interesting history, as we learned from Sebas on a really lovely tour. The grounds are magical, with lots to explore for our son (plus games, books and toys). Our apartment was on the first floor and looked better than in the photos. It had a lot of space, the fireplace was cozy and with separate bedrooms it's great to go with kids or two couples. The apartment is full of character, just what you'd expect from staying in a castle! Everything was clean and comfortable and Gloria and Sebas are the most welcoming and gracious hosts, always thinking of how to improve our stay and recommending places to go (we loved the short visits/hikes to the Monastery, the Minyona viewpoint and the Hermita, all with amazing views, and the 2 hour hike to the Salt de Sallent waterfall). All in all a wonderful stay, we'd love to come back in summer!

We stayed two nights in the fantastic place. The reception was very welcoming. We were guided directly through the whole property. It is a little off the beaten path in breathtaking nature. There is an extra building with a beautiful kitchen, a big pool and lots of recreational opportunities. Absolutely quiet secluded location, it is highly recommended. Alexander
