Family-friendly vacation rentals in Gillespie County

Was the perfect peaceful getaway that we needed as advertised. Home baked goods made you feel right at home the moment you walked in. The amenities were great and already looking forward to our next stay.

Der Stall made my boyfriend and I’s anniversary weekend! The privacy was exactly what we were looking for, and Susan gave so many helpful recommendations that made planning what we wanted to do that much easier. We spent our entire first night looking through the history in the space and listening to all of the CDs they had! The sweet treats Susan left us were very thoughtful and we loved the food. We would definitely stay here again!

A great house with an excellent setting. Beautiful porch and river view. Comfortable bed and nice, fully equipped kitchen. We loved it.

Looked exactly like the photos. Loved the large tub, fireplace, and shower. Comfortable bed. It was clean and clutter free. Does not have a kitchen, but it was not needed for this trip. Privacy may be an issue as it is in very close proximity to other air bnb properties. Renting all the adjoining properties for a larger group trip would be ideal. Host was very responsive and instructions were clear and easy. Great stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was very cozy and comfortable. Great quiet location, easy walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Nice selections for morning coffee! Comfortable bedding. We would definitely return again for another nice visit to Fredericksburg.

It was me and my partners first time in Fredericksburg and we absolutely loved it! This place is perfect for a weekend getaway. It’s in close proximity to great eats, shops, and various good times! Probably the best little vacation I’ve ever had.

We loved Susan’s place. Very walkable to the Main St with shops and restaurants. The house is tastefully renovated and decorated, we felt comfortable. Amenities and supplies are more than adequate, we felt right at home. The outside back area is private and super relaxing. We stayed for a long weekend, but definitely a place you could comfortably stay a week or more. Thank you Susan.

Kathy was an amazing host! She quickly responds and is very accommodating. She is the best host we have ever had and we have been to alot of places! This house is amazing too! This home has a very special history and had everything we needed. The house was clean and Carla is a great host. We came down and stayed in Stonewell because we wanted to avoid the chaos that can sometimes be in Fredericksburg. It was close to a vineyard we really wanted to visit and just a really comfortable place

This was a great place to stay! My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend in Fredericksburg for a wedding and it was the perfect size for two people. Is smaller but not near as small as I was expecting, plenty of room for a two person weekend get away! Perfect location to the main strip, it was walkable! Checkin and out was super easy! Would happily come back :)

this place was great. My husband and I loved it. Bailey our dog was so happy to get to that yard after 3 days in a car. She also found the flower pot in the yard full of puppy toys. the couple who own this make you and your pet feel like they are at home. they have done a beautiful job renovating this house. we loved our stay in Frederickburg and this home played a big part. thanks

First of I have to say the house is more beautiful in person! They have everything you would need for your stay including pots and pans, silverware, bowls, plates…. Etc. My favorite part out of everything was the backyard nobody wanted to go back inside the house. The dogs loved!!! The backyard space it was big lots of room for them to roam around. They also have a small gated space near the master bedroom so your dogs can use the bathroom. We used it at night since there is a light and we can see the dogs. The fencing is perfect. I had a chihuahua and there was no way for her to fit underneath it. They did an excellent job covering it. The speakers are through out the house. We loved them!! If you have kids but want to still explore a winery. There is a place 20 minutes away from this Airbnb. It’s called Grapetown vineyard and they also have a safari tour as well. Overall the house is breathtaking perfect for a big family or a little getaway. We will be back for sure!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home – perfect for our group of two couples and five kids! The house was super spacious, well-equipped, and just had a great, relaxed vibe that made us feel instantly at home. The highlight for all of us was definitely the pool – even better than the photos! The kids spent hours splashing around while the adults lounged and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. Everything was clean, comfortable, and easy. Location-wise, it was quiet and convenient, and the hosts were responsive and thoughtful throughout. We made so many great memories here and would absolutely come back. Highly recommend for families or groups traveling together!

Beautiful peaceful place to stay, loved the jacuzzi tub and the bed was very comfortable. The fire pit was a perfect touch for the clear nights to see the full moon and the stars. We loved our stay!! We will definitely be back.
