Awesome property for a weekend getaway from the city. Sonny made this place into a fun playground - the pond is amazing, the hot tub, sauna, and back deck felt like a spa, and we enjoyed the fire pit and taking a short hike to the creek. The house itself is simple but has everything you need and we even managed to order Uber eats once from Kingston. The area is great, and we enjoyed the villages and a nice hike in the area. We will definitely come back.

Rick's House (Hemlock House) was a wonderful getaway! We unfortunately didnt hit the best weather but the house was perfect for a cool and rainy long weekend both indoors and out. The open first floor with huge kitchen was great for hanging out and cooking with alot of cozy nooks to read and relax. There was a lot of various outdoor spaces and decks to lounge on as well and the hot tub was perfect for the cooler cloudy weather. The bedrooms were all comfy and each room having its own bathroom was another plus. We all loved the sounds of the creek and being able to walk around the trails in the back. The House is in a fantastic location - only 10 minutes from Rhinebeck which has everything you need and is great for walking around, shopping and dining. Rick was informative and provided a great guidebook with clear instructions and local resources and recommendations. Thanks for a lovely stay!

My husband and I had a wonderfully relaxing time at the Little Owl Teahouse. It’s a cozy and well-outfitted cabin with a super comfy bed and a great leather reading chair. Drank lots of the delicious mountain well water. Made breakfast in kitchen — love the pans and electric cooktop. Short drive to Woodstock for dinner. And oh the beauty of the surroundings - scenic views everywhere. Our two little doggies were happy to romp in the fenced in yard. Little too chilly when we were there but pool looks so appealing. Lisa is a proactive and super responsive host.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Wilderkill Barn. Maria Cristina and William were exceptional hosts—warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our visit special. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The home was a haven, with a hot tub, sauna, pool, fire pit, pool table, and immersive sound and movie systems—all of which made our stay delightful despite the cold, dreary May weather. We can't thank them enough. ***That said, we feel it's necessary to address a serious issue with Airbnb itself that arose while booking this property, unrelated to the property itself. An unexpected tax was added after booking, and Airbnb has yet to provide a clear explanation. After years of loyalty, we were disappointed by their evasive and unhelpful customer support. This experience has made us reconsider using the platform in the future. We urge potential users to scrutinize all fees carefully and be aware that Airbnb’s support may be difficult to navigate if problems arise.***

We loved this cute studio cabin at the end of a quiet lane in the woods. The host was accommodating and left a welcome basket with tea & muffins for our arrival. The whole unit was clean and well maintained with basic equipment for cooking. We enjoyed sitting on the veranda watching the wildlife. Convenient location for Woodstock for coffee and food, & Ashokan reservoir for walking and cycling. There were a few potholes on the access road to the property which deer use to drink from (☺️). We loved that the cabin was bug free and did not have any trace of bug spray! (We get very bad reactions to that stuff). Thank you for hosting & being respive. Recommend for a weekend 👍🏼

Perfect home for a quick getaway. Great store nearby for gourmet essentials. Near Hudson and Catskills. Hosts took the time to personally meet us and provide a tour. Even took time after the trip to help us retrieve something we left behind. Thanks for the wonderful stay.

My friends and I had a girls weekend at Jamie's house. The home and property are very charming and exactly as described in the photos. The weekend we stayed it rained and was cold, so we didn't get to enjoy the pool like we planned, but that would have been the icing on the cake to a great stay. Jamie sent a very detailed set of information a week before our stay and the home has helpful notes throughout. We had the fortunate opportunity to visit the Rhineback craft fair that took place at the Dutchess fairgrounds during our stay. We also ate at a pub in Trivoli and at Mirabella's in Sogreties. Both were yummy! Most restaurants are approximately 30 min away. If you are looking for a charming older home with character, to spend a relaxing weekend, look no further than Windhorse farms.

We (a group of friends plus two children) had a great time at Kate’s place. It was the perfect escape from the city and such a cosy house for a snowy weekend, with not one but two sitting rooms with fires. The house was clean and beautifully decorated but also very child friendly with Kate providing pack and plays and high chairs, as well as tonnes of children’s toys and books. Would definitely stay again!

Spent three days here with our family during daughter's college graduation. Everyone felt so at home. We loved the furnishings, decor, the well-equiped kitchen, comfy beds and living room. They had all the books that either we've read or want to read. The cookbooks! Wanted to thumb through all of them. The photos and art on the wall really wonderful. The layout is great with lots of privacy for each of the bedrooms and easy for early risers to make coffee (we appreciated the Bialetti!) without disturbing others. We cooked several meals here and so nice to have oil, spices, etc. available. These folks clearly love and use this charming little house - you feel like you are the guests of friends. Nate was incredibly responsive and helpful when we forgot what we'd read in the handbook or needed to trouble-shoot. There is some noise from Route 9, which is less noticeable at the back of the house and in the big grassy back yard. All in all, perfect for us. Thank you!

Substantial and comfortable space. Very well appointed property with hot tub, bath and kitchen with clothes washing facility. Great views and well located near some lovely towns. We had a big car and parking was slightly tight to turn but a very minor observation!

This is our second trip to Maple Hill House. It is now our favorite winter spot to stay in Germantown. The location is very quiet. Outside there is a lovely path through the back of the property to enjoy nature or sit by the pond. Inside, a lovely wood burning fireplace to keep warm. I love to cook and this house has everything you need...sharp knives, dutch oven, chef's gas range. The beds are comfy, great water pressure, very clean. It has all the things you need for a cozy upstate winter weekend. We'd love to come back.

Phillip’s place is a true upstate oasis! Fabulous location 5 minutes from Germantown, close to Bard College and Hudson. Communication from the host was great. The house is luxuriously modern but has antique features like wooden beams and floors. The beds were very comfortable and the showers all had amazing water pressure. The kitchen was great for cooking dinner and the living room has an extremely comfortable sectional perfect for cozy group hanging out. The deck and hot tub were also lovely. Overall it was a wonderful stay and I definitely recommend it! Thanks for having us.

I had a lovely long weekend celebrating my 40th birthday with friends at the Madrigal house. It was well situated to cute shops and provisions in Red Hook and easy access to Hudson. The house was pristine inside and incredibly comfortable and beautiful. It is the perfect place for a low key and relaxing but special weekend away. Highly recommend. Thanks again!

This was a perfect vacation home for our family trip. Spacious house with beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, a well equipped kitchen, luxurious and extremely comfortable furnishings and a location that makes visits to surrounding charming towns so easy.

We had a wonderful stay at Carla’s home! It was exactly as described—clean, bright, and airy. The space had everything we needed for a busy weekend, and we felt completely comfortable and at ease. My girlfriends and I stayed here for a little girls getaway. Eric and Kelly were very responsive and accommodated my request to check in an hour early. The house was clean and bright and the deck and hot tub were a great hang out space. It was very private and comfortable and just overall a relaxing vibe. Thanks a lot for a great weekend!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights, wishing we booked for longer. From the second we walked through the door we were super relaxed. The whole house is decorated for a very cozy feel and the house was super clean. We did not leave once we got there until check-out and never felt bored or like we needed to get out of the house. This house has everything you need to cook, relax there is also plenty of things to do. We loved the air hockey table and I spent most of my time in the hot tub which is right next to the river. If you book this place you won’t be disappointed!

We really enjoyed our stay at Michael and Dino's home! It's so obvious the love and thoughtfulness the poured into this home. The beds were SO COMFORTABLE! Our family loved having bonfires in the evening and really enjoyed the outdoor seating. The location is perfect. We visit Hudson every year and always walk across the Rip Van Wrinkle Bridge, visit Olana and spend a day in downtown Hudson. The location of the home was PERFECT for us to have easy access to those activities. Michael was very responsive with any questions we had and local restaurant recommendations. The house was well equipped with all items we needed. Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

We booked this home hours before getting there because our prior one was cancelled. The host was so nice and her home is amazing. It isn’t the typical generic air bnb and I was so happy that my daughters were old enough to appreciate how special it is. For our family what made it really comfortable was the bedrooms were spread out on opposite ends of the house and each had its own bathroom - and they are beautiful bathrooms. The windows are huge - and the winter views were crazy - the house is high up with rolling woods and a winding stream below. The furniture, artwork and even the cereal bowls were fascinating to look at. The house is very fresh smelling - no mold or musty odors and was spotlessly clean with quality and comfortable sheets and down pillows - beds were heavenly actually. We drove to Saugerties and Woodstock nearby but mostly stayed at the house though for a wonderful time.
