Cute and clean room, close by Keflavik airport- just what I needed for an early morning flight. Jay was helpful in letting me get in a little before check-in (which is at 16 /4pm!) and in helping me book a cap so it was ready for me in the early morning. Very clean place, comfy bed, would book again!

I had an amazing experience at this Airbnb! Birgir was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The space was spotless, cozy, and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was our Iceland story time with Birgir—his captivating stories gave us a deeper appreciation for the country and its culture. His passion for the environment was truly inspiring, motivating me to become more proactive about global warming and environmental responsibility. Birgir also recommended trying an Icelandic swimming pool, and we absolutely loved it! This was a truly memorable stay, and I can’t recommend it enough!

We had a fantastic stay at this property! The location is incredibly convenient, making it easy to explore the area. The host was exceptionally kind and welcoming, providing us with plenty of helpful tips about local attractions and hidden gems—we truly learned so much and benefited greatly from their insights. The room was spotless, well-organized, and very comfortable. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, making us feel right at home. Overall, it was a perfect experience, and we would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality!

Perfect place for the first night in Iceland (arriving after midnight). Very flexible and lovely. We enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and the breakfast. Room very nice, bathroom clean. Highly recommend, thank you!

Das Zimmer bei Gudrun war perfekt. Es ist ausreichend groß und hat Zugang zu einem Balkon. Die Küche und das Bad werden gemeinsam genutzt, was aber kein Problem ist. Das Frühstück fanden wir super. Gudrun ist sehr freundlich und hat uns viel über die Gegend und Island erzählt. Wir würden es wieder buchen.

Nachdem sich das Hotel, das ich gebucht hatte, als absolute Katastrophe herausgestellt hat und ich auf keinen Fall meine letzten zwei Nächte in Island dort verbringen wollte, brauchte ich dringend eine Alternative. Die fand ich bei Gudjon und seiner Frau Liney. Die beiden sind großartige Gastgeber! Die Buchung war extrem kurzfristig. Zum Glück war die Adresse angegeben und die beiden zu Hause. Bevor ich dort ankam, fand keine Kommunikation statt. Innerhalb einer halben Stunde nach der Buchung war ich vor Ort. Als ich die Situation erklärte, richteten die beiden umgehend das Zimmer für mich her und halfen mir mit dem Gepäck und zeigten mir die Räumlichkeiten. Ich habe dort zwei wunderbare Nächte verbracht. Es war ruhig, gemütlich, das Bett super bequem. Erholung pur. Ich war so glücklich! So gut, wie dort, habe ich in keiner anderen Unterkunft geschlafen. Vielen Dank!

This venue is very good. The hosts are very informative and give you all the attention you require. Their two assistants are also friendly, but as they have 4 legs and a tail (cat & small dog), they only come to you for company on occasions. They are well trained and will not bother you. The accommodation is large enough, and all amenities to make light meals are provided, plus there is a coffee maker ! It is placed just north of the capital, so it is easily found and is not too far from the airport. Overall this was an ideal opportunity to be next to local people who can assist you, but you also have your own floor of the building to yourself. The hosts offer various ideas for days out, and they print off A4 guides for you to take with you. The photo and video gallery they have is quite extesive, and their personal recordings of visits to the volcanos can be seen on request. Birgir and Björg offer a very friendly service, I fully recommend this option!

Gutti and Svana were amazing! We had some difficulty finding the house, but Gutti drove around town to find us. Once we arrived, they were extremely kind, warm, and welcoming. We had the entire house to ourselves. They stayed in their unattached sunroom and made themselves available to us for whatever we needed. They showed us how to use the hot tub, which we thoroughly enjoyed. To make us comfortable, Gutti found a good radio station for us and brought over a couple of cold Viking beers. This was the most relaxed we were on our 11-day trip. Gutti and Svana felt like family at the end of our stay. They were incredible and generous hosts, and we would highly recommend staying with them.

This is a perfect location if you want to stay in the center of the city. Everything is within walking distance. The room was beautiful and clean. The bathroom was tiny but served its purpose. It can stay loud until late due to location but closing the window blocked out most of the noise. It was a great stay!

Excellent location but parking is difficult especially if you’re toting luggage. Expect to find a side street about 5 blocks away. The bed was outstanding!

We had a wonderful stay with Karen and Johann! They were both incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. The room was excellent—clean, cozy, and the beds were super comfortable, exactly what we needed after a long day of travelling. We especially loved the garden kitchen, which was perfect for making our morning coffee and breakfast before heading out for a full day of adventures. The location is super convenient for the airport, and having a spot to park our rental car right outside the house was a big plus. Highly recommend staying here—we’ve already booked to come back for the night before our flight home. Lovely place and lovely hosts!
