This place was absolutely lovely and felt just like home from the moment we arrived. The property itself is beautiful—comfortable, clean, and full of charm—but what truly made our stay unforgettable was the incredible hospitality. Janaka and his staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and their warmth and kindness made us feel like part of the family. Every meal was a treat—delicious, homemade, and clearly made with love. Sitting down to eat each day felt more like a family gathering than just a meal service. It’s rare to find a place that not only meets your expectations but far exceeds them in every way. We left with full hearts (and full stomachs!) and can’t wait to come back one day. Highly recommend!

This bnb is one of the best places we've ever stayed. The personnel were extremely courteous and helped us not only for our stay with them, but also with the rest of our stay in Sri Lanka. We are already looking at staying with them in future vacations. The rooms were clean and well appointed. Air conditioning and fans both available. The grounds are beautiful and well kept and we used the pool. It was nice too. We will recommend this place to all friends looking to travel here.

We arrived so late plus our flight got delayed due to the storm. Dennis still opened the door for us and the breakfast is very nice. Only if the place has Air conditioning it would be even better.

Je suis restée plus de 2 semaines au JMF. Priya, le propriétaire , Basil et Alex ont été aux petits soins avec moi surtout en cette période troublée. L'accueil est parfait, je me suis sentie comme à la maison et j'ai rapidement sympathisé avec Priya qui a été de très bon conseil. L'établissement est calme, agréable avec un joli jardin, il est très bien situé, juste à coté d'une clinique ce qui m' été très utile. Des marchands de fruits et de légumes de l'autre côté de la rue pour faire quelques courses , la gare très proche tout comme les plages et restaurants. Une chambre très grande et très propre avec un balcon et une bouilloire. L'accès à un frigo et un micro onde est très pratique, et pour palier aux coupures de courant, le JMF apart hotel est équipé d'un groupe électrogène. Le roof top est génial pour prendre le frais et pratiquer le yoga au petit matin . Rapport qualité prix excellent, je recommande vivement ce petit établissement qui propose aussi des appartements

Hans ist die Art von Gastgeber, die man sich wünscht! Er war jederzeit für uns erreichbar und hat uns über alles informiert was wir wissen wollten. Über ihn konnten wir alles buchen bzw über ihn waren die Tuk Tuks echt ein spürchen schneller da hahaha. Die Unterkunft war makellos & wir würden auf alle Fälle wiederkommen! Das Personal war immer fröhlich und freundlich & ebenfalls immer bereit für gute Tipps!

Siamo arrivate molto presto rispetto all’orario di check-in, ma ci hanno fatto accomodare e servito acqua e the. Ci hanno preparato la camera il prima possibile e sono stati sempre molto disponibili. Sanjeewa è molto presente ma discreto, disponibilissimo a rispondere a qualsiasi domanda. La colazione inoltre è stata molto tradizionale e ci hanno spiegato per bene tutti cibi e la loro preparazione. Un posto veramente carino, semmai ripasseremo a negombo ci ritornerò!

We stayed here as we had an early morning flight then next day - great location close to the airport (20 mins by tuk tuk which can be booked for you). Christian was very helpful and the room itself was lovely and clean. Also great location close to the beach and some nice restaurants. Well worth the money!

Empyrean is approx 7 mins from arrival and departure of Colombo airport. I stayed here with my partner to catch flight back home. The property is located at a stunning area. The hosts are super nice. The accomodated to my request for clean toilets and cleaner rooms and everything was just as expected. The property is very spacious and has a restaurant attached to it where guests can place orders for food or just grab a coffee. One of the best places and people we encountered in Sri Lanka.

I loved staying at Lens place! He and his Son were waiting for me when I arrived at the AirPort, it’s only a 15min drive to the homestay. Really Nice breakfast and just a sweet family. Room was big and clean.

Nilanthi is a wonderful host who made us feel very comfortable and at home. Our flight was late and she was waiting for us at midnight and even provided us with a lovely Sri Lankan dinner. Enjoyed her breakfasts both mornings we were there enjoying traditional Sri Lankan food. Bedroom in the ground floor was very spacious and comfortable. Quiet location surrounded by coconut trees and off the main road. Only a short trip from the airport so very convenient especially after a long and tiring flight. Recommend highly for outstanding hospitality, comfort and excellent value. Thoroughly enjoyable stay and nice break before we moved on to Colombo.

Really nice place and hosts were really nice! Gigantic and good breakfast! Very close to the airport so it was perfect because our flight was à 10h50. A lot of restaurants and nice boutiques to buy souvenirs near. Only thing is that we didn’t have enough time to enjoy the pool... Excellent quality/price!:)

This place was perfect for what we needed. Location was great, and Thushara was very knowledgeable about Colombo, he gave us lots of information and advice about where to go and was really helpful with information for our journey on to Dambulla. Breakfast in the morning was a real treat. Definitely recommend!

A beautiful home stay near to Colombo airport and I wish we could have stayed longer. We arrived very late at night and Sara kindly waited up to give us the keys and a tour of the beautiful home. She usually serves breakfast but had a 4am start and kindly orientated us to where everything was. The home was huge with lovely decor and a private bathroom and fresh, clean towels as well as a great shower. There was an outdoor pool and a beautiful yoga shalla where I did my meditation in the morning - the energies were beautiful. Breakfast was provided - granola, bread and fruits which set us up for the day. Very clean and safe space and we would recommend this to anyone flying in to Colombo. Thank you Sara for a great experience. We will certainly look you up next time we are in Colombo.

we reached their place at 330am early morning, i must say hats off to the host, they opened the door for us as we reached and greeted us with lots of love early hours. she offered us tea but we were too tired n sleepy so we directly went upstairs n slept. the room was super clean and so were the linens. next day we woke up to some yummy yummy breakfast, the lady of the house and her mother cooked us amazing breakfast, there was so much that we really could not try it all. from fruit cuts to sri lankan breakfast to eggs n sausages. , they r warm n friendly people. i will surely like to come back and stay with u guys. overall clean friendly place. now about the super host lakmal. he is very helpful and friendly and guided us well about our further journey in sri lanka. god bless.

Sehr zu empfehlen! Wir waren begeistert! Wir kamen erst spät nach einer langen Zugfahrt hier an und bekamen noch ein großartiges Abendessen gezaubert. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, perfekt klimatisiert und das Bett super bequem. Der Pool war genau richtig, um sich bei dem heißen Wetter abzukühlen. Fragt unbedingt nach, ob sie etwas für euch kochen kann, denn es war das leckerste Essen in Sri Lanka!

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt in Srilal’s Unterkunft. Dies war unser erster Stop nachdem wir gelandet sind. Zimmer war sehr sauber und so wie auf den Bildern zu sehen. Tatsächlich hatten wir sogar warm Wasser in der Unterkunft, wo wir uns sehr drüber gefreut haben. Das Restaurant direkt vor dem Zimmer war sehr praktisch. Preis Leistung war ok. Schade das das Frühstück nicht inbegriffen war aber Sirlal hatte für uns was vorbereitet (mit Aufpreis) Das Bett ist nicht das längste deswegen für große Menschen nicht so geeignet. Da unsere Reise nach einer Nacht weiter ging hat uns Srilal noch gezeigt wie wir am besten und günstigsten weiterkommen und wo wir die nächste Bus Stops finden. Wenn man eine Frage oder ein Anliegen hatte dann war er immer da.

Great room, with air conditioning and hot water. Large and comfortable bathroom. The room overlooks the garden, where the birds fly and the sounds of the jungle can be heard. The house is very clean. The host is an amazingly kind and sociable person who also loves to travel. Constantly treated me to all sorts of goodies. The house is located in a quiet location in a residential area, while within walking distance you can find parks, cafes, restaurants, shops and laundry’s. Also a 15-minute taxi ride is the bus station and the railway station, from which you can go anywhere in Sri Lanka. The center of Colombo is about 20-30 minutes by scooter.
