Vacation rentals in Gakovo

The weather was rough this time but the kids still enjoyed themselves. The ponies stayed closer to the house where they were easier to pet and the children enjoyed playing with some of the indoor toys. The picnic area at the house stays dry in the rain so it continues to be possible to be outside even in poor weather. I think there were more swallows (small birds) out in the rain than I have seen before. I recommend the path that goes between the public park and the Orthodox Church near by for bird watching. Overall good to be back. I appreciate diligence of the owners to fix things when normal house issues come up once in a while. We look forward to returning rain or shine🙂

We were happy to be back at Ian & Maura’s again. We were able to get a Christmas Tree at the weekly market. It was both cold enough to snow (and build a snowman) and warm enough to bike during our stay. At one point all of the trees frosted throughout town(very beautiful). Previously we hadn’t realized what an important site Stara Moravica is for owls in winter. There is a sign in front of the local school with information on the owls that migrate from all over Europe. It was not uncommon at dusk to see as many as five giant owls leaving their roosts for the night on the walk back from the local grocery store. We timed our grocery shopping so the kids would be able to watch for owls on the way back. Our nine year old found a bird identification book on the shelf in the living room and enjoyed trying to identify the other birds in the trees in the yard. Laszlo was helpful and friendly as usual. We look forward to returning the end of February.

Paula je izvrstan domačin! Sve upute o smještaju su jasne i detaljne. Izlazi u susret koliko god je moguće vezano za dolazak i odlazak iz apartmana. S obzirom da smo bili s malim djetetom dočekao nas je spreman dječji krevetić. Stan je jako lijepo i s stilom uređen ,sve je vrlo funkcionalno! Hvala Paula

Josipa was forthcoming and always responsive. The apartment has a great location as it is close to the bus station and to the city centre, old town and river. Check-in and out was easy and flexible. I can only recommend staying at this place!

Wir haben nur eine Übernachtung gehabt. Trotz später Anreise, war es kein Problem einzuchecken. Wohnung war sauber. Ich glaube die Gegend würde mehr bieten, als nur eine Nacht.

Odličan smještaj, lokacija vrhunska, fantastičan pogled iz stana, lokacija u centru grada, ali opet mirno i sve dostupno, domaćin susretljiv, simpatičan, spreman pomoći. Stan je na 4. katu bez lifta, ali to nije problem kad je pogled iz stana predivan, preporuka svima koji traže smještaj.

Predrag’s home was beautiful. It was extremely clean and had a lot of nice simple touches like slippers, shaving cream, umbrella, etc. It was a very quiet area and I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Sombor! Check in was extremely easy as well. The only thing that’s missing is a wine bottle opener. Other wise A+++ stay here!!!
