Our family of 8 spent a very unforgettable day in this very Japanese and innovative house... we were deeply attracted to the house as soon as we entered... we arrived a little late... but the owner still received us very warmly... and reminded us to be careful on the way... because it snowed at Yamanakako that day... our family's first experience with snow was here... we were really mesmerized by the beautiful snowy scenery... although we couldn't see Mt. Fuji, we still got a veryBeautiful snowy scenery... all the internet-famous check-in spots near Lake Yamanakako are very close... but this time we didn't have the chance to see the beautiful Mt. Fuji... I hope to have the chance to come to this house again in the future... and then enjoy the different scenery of Mt. Fuji... I highly recommend everyone to stay in this cozy and comfortable homestay... there will be a next time only if there is regret...

The reception staff was incredibly kind and helpful. As-advertised, beautiful views of Mt. Fuji with a really neat waterfall trail nearby. Shuttle services that were easy to coordinate and delicious locally sourced food options. 10/10 would recommend!!

Ms Mali was very welcoming, she drove us to the supermarket nearby.We bought it at the supermarket and roasted it ourselves at the barbeque at the house.The house is very close, mari lady borrowed our bicycle and we saw beautiful Mt Fuji for a week around the lake.Other than that, the house is quite beautiful, warm and neatly set up, perfect for a family or friends to live with.Very rich Japanese table games and toys also made us very happy.

We had a great stay. Very modern and clean beautiful views of Fuji from all rooms. Was also a great experience with the sauna, bath and shower setup. Highly recommend.

This place was so comfortable and perfect for our family of 4. Mt Fuji does not always choose to make an appearance, especially outside the summer, but we are lucky enough to have a beautiful view of Mt Fuji on our first day. The views from the whole surrounding area are amazing but it’s so cool to go home and still have your own private, beautiful view. The house has everything we needed and the host was very responsive when we had a request to use the 3rd bedroom. Would stay again!

We’re so glad we chose this place as our last stop in Japan. The hospitality was second to none, we immediately felt at home. The beautiful and peaceful surroundings were exactly what we needed after the hustle and bustle of Tokyo nights! Our 8 yearold son had a blast riding the provided bikes to the nearby lake to see Mt. Fuji as clear as day, definitely worth the 6 a.m. alarm! Special thanks to Allen and his team. Jerry is one of the friendliest people we’ve met in Japan. I love every bit of David’s place. It is located in the peaceful neighbourhood of Joēi, which you can see Mt. Fuji on a clear day. The house is spacious and has everything I need to stay comfortably for a month. There are big supermarket and drug store within walking distance, and with the bike David provided, you can go to a large shopping mall and pretty much all living necessities within 15 min. David and his wife Naomi are extremely friendly and helpful. Recommended me good restaurants and also useful tips to get around. I enjoyed my stay here very much. I highly recommend this place to other travellers when you want to escape the crowd and experience Japanese rural lifestyle.
