Cottage vacation rentals in Friends Lake

We ate most meals on the deck admiring the lake and scenery. Most hot days at the lake, jumping off the floating dock, swimming and kayaking the beautiful lake. Most cool nights in the hot tub. Beautiful lake and close to many places (Saratoga, Lake George). Kids really enjoyed the lake, floating dock and hot tub as well as playing darts on the deck. Tinney’s Tavern nearby had great food and was an easy walk. Nice hiking trail nearby. Joan was easily accessible for any questions that arose.

Great location, close to town and anything else you could need in Bolton! House was very clean, had everything you could need. Definitely would stay here again if coming back up to Lake George!

We stayed for my daughter’s Midd graduation. It’s less than a 20 minute drive to Middlebury. Ardie and Mike are such lovely, hard working, kind and receptive human beings. I loved meeting them. They were so welcoming and accommodating, down to earth people. I would stay here again in a heartbeat - in any one of the cabins.

The best stay in the LG area! Perfectly tucked away, backyard oasis! Amazing fire pit and hot tub. great places to eat on the front and back porch! The house was spotless, so clean and we felt so at home! We really enjoyed the kitchen as well! The host, John was amazing! This is the place to stay when coming to the lake! Cannot recommend enough, and we will be back soon!:)

Great little cabin for the price point. Kitchen was fully equipped sans a spatula. Plenty of comfortable seating and clean linens. Bring paper towels to make cleaning it up a little easier.

Heathers Cottage was just we were looking for. The dock and waterside camp chairs were a great way to enjoy the peaceful Loon Lake. We did have rain during our stay and found ourself stuck indoors but this was no obstacle at all. The cottage had a book for everyone’s liking, many different board games and a TV as well, the time flew by! Can’t wait to return back to enjoy the get-a-way from city life!

My family had a great time staying at Jennifer’s place. The house was stocked with towels, linens, blankets, and just about anything you forgot to bring from home (face wash, shampoo, dish washing pods, etc.) The backyard was a perfect combination of security (the fenced in yard for our pups) and serenity to unwind and enjoy the fire with family and friend. 10/10 would recommend staying here.

My husband, another couple and our two pups had a wonderful time at the cottage. We absolutely loved the access to the lake (note that you have to cross a road but it’s a very quiet one, not much cars), it’s private beach, and enjoyed the kayaks, canoe and paddle board. The place has comfortable bedding, extremely well furnished kitchen and is only a few minutes from stunning lake George and the lovely town of Bolton Landing. Be aware of mosquitoes! The host warned us before our arrival and had extra repellent for us to use! Michelle was extremely responsive to all our questions and even came late at night to help us troubleshoot an issue with the fans! Would definitely recommend this place if looking for a peaceful nature retreat!

Susan’s house is absolutely gorgeous nd so comfortable. We felt right at home. She has everything we could need and even extra items in the bathroom for anything we forgot. We lost power and Susan proactively offered a generator! Thankfully, power returned before nighttime. Our weekend at Susan’s was such a great experience!

Linda was a perfect host and even better human being, she was very kind and thoughtful! I would love to come back soon to her paradise of a home!

One of the cleanest and comfiest Airbnbs I’ve stayed in. It was a last minute trip and this exceeded my expectations. My sister and I were saying we had the best night of sleep we had in years! There was a huge snow storm and the owner was so accommodating and very easy to get in touch with. We can’t wait to come back 😊

Christine and Larry are amazing hosts. The location was great for our trip to Gore Mt. Unfortunately I did not get the chance to meet Christine in person, Larry stopped by to check if we had any questions or needs. It is obvious they want their guests to totally enjoy the place, and make you feel comfortable doing so. Thanks you two, I’m sure we will be back.

This was our second stay and we will always choose to stay here when in the area. Inside and outside are wonderful and relaxing places to be. We could totally live there. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing time on trip here. The cottage and location were just as described. It was beautiful and peaceful. The cottage was well maintained and clean. The location was perfect for a getaway from busy everyday life.

We had a wonderful stay here with the whole family. Unfortunately, the weather didn't allow us to take advantage of the outdoor space but the living room was perfect to hang out in and the dining room was perfect for meals and board games. The kitchen was well stocked too. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. Nancy and Dave (and their dog) were super friendly and responsive to any questions we had. The place has anything you can think of to make you feel at home. The hosts clearly put a lot of thought into it. This is a perfect place for some peace an quiet right on the Hudson with all the comforts. I hope to come for another visit in the future!

Terri was very responsive when messaged. We had a few questions upon arrival and recieved an answer very quickly. The host took a lot of time to ensure the stay was comfortable and provided many different useful in house amenities such as clean dishes, towels and bedding. although the space was smaller than we originally thought it was enough space for 5 plus a medical alert dog. we did have one thing that threw us for a loop as none of us were aware of how a cabin could smell. It had a very earthy scent that we didn't expect coming from the city life but it was an absolute delight to experiance something new. although we didn't stay by during the day we felt at easy when we settled in for the evening. I would recommend if your looking for something off the beaten path with lovely views and many places to go.
