We had a wonderful stay - the cottage was unique, cosy, spacious and had spectacular views! It was a real treat to be able to warm up in front of the fire in stormy weather. Would highly recommend - a peaceful and beautiful place to stay!

Great place to stay- beautiful and peaceful location. Close to local shop and restaurants. The pod is clean and cosy, recommend taking a small bag as there isn’t much room for suitcases. We decanted into a smaller bag and left suitcases in the car. Kirsty is lovely and responsive, she brought us out some milk for our morning coffees. Would definitely stay again :)

As soon as we arrived, the place was warm on a very cold day. The house has huge windows which let in the northerly light and the house is set up with solar passive values, we barely needed to use additional heating. Great floor plan. Bedrooms well located for sharing or families. The beds were good. Everything was very clean. Not walkable to town, ideally need a car to stay here. Beautifully quiet and private. We shared as two couples and it was perfect.

We absolutely loved our stay. We were lucky to have sunny, warm weather that allows the house to open to outdoors. While the house is spacious and comfy we spent most of our time in the outdoor spaces enjoying both the fire pit and outdoor fireplace at breakfast and well into the night. The area is quiet with direct views of the glacier. Close to town as well. Sarah was a friendly and responsive host. We highly recommend the guesthouse.

Trish’s B&B was just beautiful. Mum and I enjoyed our stayed, the surroundings were so lovely and Trish was so helpful with ideas on things to do and where to eat. The breakfast provided was also plentiful with lots of variety and we sat with Trish and her partner had a nice conversation. Worth staying here if you are passing through Fox Glacier or needing to stay a couple of days. Thanks Trish!

There are three cottages here, and we loved the one we had. It was perfect for our needs, and Eunice was a great host. we took advantage of her quilting shop, taking a look at some of her work and even bought some. The location is within easy walking distance of several eateries and many things in the village are within an easy walking distance. We loved our stay in the cottage.

Lovely stay in a secluded farm setting close to Franz Josef Glacier. The house had plenty of thoughtful personal touches and was surrounded by beautiful scenery — very peaceful and enjoyable. It did feel a bit isolated at times, and the power outage around 11pm for about an hour was a bit unsettling. But overall, it was a unique and memorable experience, and we really enjoyed our time there.

Takoha and Simon’s place was just a sanctuary! Absolutely beautiful surroundings, pristine house, and a very positive and high energy vibes. To top it all up, they were both lovely to chat with, very friendly, helpful, and super hospitable. Fara and I would love to come back in the future if we get a chance.

We really enjoyed our stay with Takoha and Simon and would recommend them to anyone visiting Franz Josef. We were fine with the stairs (there are different levels) but worth bearing in mind if this is a problem for you. The house is really well positioned to be near lots of places on foot including restaurants and a supermarket but really peaceful. The bedroom was spacious and we slept really well. The setting is beautifully green and welcoming like a mini oasis. They kindly provided breakfast and made us feel at home, providing suggestions for walks and stops en route.
