This Highland House slope side first floor condo looks out over Ballhooter lift and Skidder...lots of action to watch and ski school/lessons right out the back door. Edifice Rex, a 300 square foot studio apartment, is only one mile and less than 2 minutes from Interstate 81 yet offers a very bucolic, peaceful setting. Countless cultural, historical and recreational opportunities exist within a 30 mile radius. The James River and Appalachian Trail are but minutes away. The name, "Edifice Rex" is to honor the caretaker on the property, a German Shepard named Rex. You will not have to interact with him ( he wears a radio collar) but he welcomes attention.

Winterqueen: 3 Queen Beds, Snowshoes Best Building

This ski condo is great and the building even better! There are two hot tub rooms with two hot tubs in each to help you relax after a long day on the slopes. For your convenience a shuttle comes every 15 minutes to take you anywhere you would like to go on the mountain. This is the only building on the mountain where the bus will pick up outside right outside the front door. Additionally, there is a nice game room with pool table, flat screen tv, fireplace, and a great seating area.

Comfortable, well kept, and convenient

I am minutes to the resort center yet central enough to take advantage of non resort amenities. While there is no ski in/out from this location, there is affordable food, country comfort, and you are still only 10 minutes from Top of the World. It is a very unique property and is geared towards regular skiers, bikers, families, and couples. You park right out front, the hot tub is next door, & restaurants and a market just a few minutes away. Any pet must be approved in advance.
