One of the most enchanting properties in the area, it has a garden with roses, palms, cacti and oleander. Panoramic view of the village. Parking nearby but the property has no vehicle access, only steep narrow path. This is the owner’s painting studio - easel available. Eagle owls nest above - no late parties/loud music. We and our young daughters enjoyed a wonderful week at Martine's beautiful house. There was plenty of space in the lovely gardens for the girls to roam (often followed by Osky, the very friendly German shepherd.) Martine was the consummate host; it’s clear she takes great pride in the property, with thoughtful touches throughout. She was also very kind in letting the girls “help” her as she gardened, which they absolutely loved. The location is fantastic - a scenic walk into Cotignac and lots to explore within a 30 minute drive. Thank you again, Martine. We hope to return soon!

Everything about our stay was excellent. The suite is lovely, and complete in every detail. It was such a delight waking up to the sound of doves, and tolling bells in the distance. It was a magical time, and we will always cherish the memory of it. One point to note is that the staircase (300 years old) is a bit of a challenge, but we were up to it.

The view and location could not be better. We loved the idyllic, peaceful nature of the surroundings and the annex itself. It felt very special. Sitting out, having dinner together, watching the sun set over the beautiful view of Cassis is something we will not forget. Emma was very responsive and helpful (she has a good booklet on things to do/places to go on her profile) and we were assisted by Maryse who met us and was lovely. Thank you for sharing your annex with us.

Les Vaches was a magical place, full of character and carefully restored to preserve the French spirit. The pool was heated, the barbecue was ready to enjoy the sausages from Cotignac's market on Tuesday, the fireplace had wood ready to be burned and the rooms were beautifully decorated with flowers from the garden. It was the right place to make us forget about work for a few days. Thank you so much.

This is clearly the home of two highly creative individuals, filled with interesting and beautiful objects whilst also having everything one needs for a comfortable stay. The location and view are sublime albeit as mentioned in several previous reviews, it takes some effort to get there. Honestly, so worth it. Contignac is a truly beautiful, typically Provencal town with great restaurants and shops. John and Richard responded super quickly to our questions and communicating with them a pleasure. We were sorry to have to leave this little piece of paradise.
