Big old family house with stunning views of the fjord. Lots of history in this house with many old family photos on the wall. Everything clean and we found everything we needed. Our kids enjoyed the the space in this house....and the welcome bar of chocolate!!

A really fantastic house, with great and very friendly hosts. The sauna was great! A fantastic environment. There are 2 ski slopes nearby. There are chances to see aurora lights. Because it snowed so much, we were also allowed to use the router spontaneously😅. We were there with two families and have enough space. The guests were really quick to respond to queries. We highly recommend this property. 👍👍👍

Hands down the best Air BnB we've ever stayed in. The home was gorgeous and the view was absolutely incredible. If you're looking for a quiet spot to take in a breathtaking view and cuddle up with a good book, this is it. The town this home is in (Valldal) is quite small. Two small grocery stores and just a few restaurants--be prepared to cook at home (which is easy in this beautiful kitchen). We used a local guide service to go on a kayaking and fishing adventure with our kids--very fun. Note: to get wine and liquor, you either have to take a ferry (short 15 min drive, then 15 min ferry ride) or bring it yourself from Alesund.

What an incredible gem, this was hands down our favorite place to stay during our trip in the country. The hosts were so exceptionally gracious, helpful and friendly. The house is immaculately clean, and we felt so welcome! It would be an honor to return if another opportunity arises.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and WOW what an amazing place. The views from the cabin are insane, we were snowed in for a few days but the cabin was the perfect place for a few slow days! Ellen-Kristine and Bjørn we're really helpful and quick to respond when we had any questions. They even got a friendly neighbour to check we were ok when the unexpected snow arrived! For outdoor activities the location is perfect, Stranda itself is very quiet, it's a fairly long drive (40mins) for any nice restaurants, but that was fine with us!

We found a perfectly equipped and very clean place. The contact with Eva was quick and very friendly, the check-in was easy despite our very late arrival time. The view of the fjord and surrounding mountains from the dining table is stunning. We will be happy to come back!

We had a wonderful stay at Merete and Jesper’s beautiful home. The house was cozy, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It was the perfect place to unwind, and we felt at home right away. You can really tell how much thought and care has gone into making it such a special place. This stay was a real highlight of our trip—we’d love to come back. Impressive location of the house between the rock walls. Quiet and private location, a great garden to relax. The Rauma is beautiful there, but unfortunately not accessible via a path. Unfortunately, the mattresses were a little too saggy for our back. However, we still enjoyed the stay very much.

We had a great time at Siri and Eivind's cottage. It is very spacious and very well-equipped, in a very peaceful area. Its location is central for visiting Ålesund, Geiranger Fjord, the Briksdalsbreen glacier... Siri and Eivind were very considerate and responsive. We recommend it!
