Menzies Cottage is an hour east of Melbourne & set high on a mountain-side in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. Enjoy views out to the Wellington Road farmlands & Cardinia Reservoir. On a clear day you can see Arthur’s Seat, Port Phillip & Westernport Bays. Visit nearby Puffing Billy Steam Train, go bushwalking, feed the friendly farm animals or settle-in for a lazy afternoon before watching the sun set. Enduring for 154 years “Pickett’s Cottage” is the last sole surviving home from a bygone era, which gives it the honour of being the oldest residential house in the city of Knox. Built in 1868, this unique Pioneer’s Settlers Cottage has been lovingly restored, respectfully preserving its unique features including open fireplace. Located at the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges, within a short drive to Puffing Billy, 1000 steps & Quarry Reserve, the cottage provides a truly unique experience.

This cosy self contained apartment is located just 5 minutes by car from the iconic 1000 stairs and just a 15 minute walk to ferntree gully train station. New listing with tv, heating and wifi. On street parking. Please note unfortunately we couldn't get more ceiling clearance when we renovated so if you are over 195cms tall this might not be the ideal place for you. Our spacious 2-bedroom, self-contained guest suite, located directly behind our house, is a "home away from home." You will have your own private entrance, with a path leading up the side of the house to your front sliding door. The off-street parking is very convenient, and you will find all the comforts you need for an enjoyable, relaxing stay in Knox. This guest suite, with blinds in every room, is in a quiet residential area and parties and gatherings are not permitted.

Nestled at the base of Mount Dandenong, this peaceful bungalow is the perfect place to stay whilst exploring the Dandenong Ranges or Yarra Valley. Walking distance (15mins) from Boronia or Ferntree gully and less than an hour drive from the CBD, this stay is close to all necessities while enjoying the tranquillity of the one acre garden with firepits or BBQ facilities to use. Pet and family friendly, the bungalow is a great place for two nights or many.
