A unique and private mountain top colonial era spring house, with two springs flowing thru the basement. Originally the site of a tannery in the 1700s. Here you can relax, recharge, and rejuvenate. We celebrate all four seasons where you can enjoy Mother Nature's ever changing scenery at 1300' above sea level with fresh mountain air. Our area offers many things to do, or you may choose to stay in and do nothing at all.
“We enjoyed every minute of our stay! The welcome baskets and all the personal touches made our stay so special. The cottage was immaculate and the decor gave this place so much character. Most of all, we loved being outdoors- drinking hot coffee on the patio in the morning, using the fire pit, sitting on the rocking chairs on the top porch or relaxing below were amazing. All you hear are the birds chirping around you.... such a welcome respite from city life! We would love to return and enjoy this peaceful place again!”
Come stay in a bright and airy space where you can relax after an exciting tour of the battlefield and historic Gettysburg. David and I look forward to your visit and we are happy to help with suggestions on places to visit, restaurants to try, areas to explore, etc. We have an outdoor patio area with umbrella table and chairs to enjoy in good weather.
“Short easy drive into Gettysburg.Claudia and Dave's place is pristinely clean and decorated very tastefully. We were warmly welcomed and questions answered. We took the CDaudio tour of the Gettysburg natl park which was such a treat. Claudia had an abundance of breakfast choices and snacks to enjoy. The patio out back was lovely in the morning as we enjoyed coffee and the homemade coffee cake and muffins.Would and probably will return to this air bnb.”
Our guesthouse is in a rural setting, an easy 3 mile drive to the Gettysburg National Military Park and 5 miles to the center of town. It is a self-contained building, separate from the main house on the property.
“A+ Airbnb, would definitely stay here again. Cute place, nice location just a few miles outside of town, and clearly they are paying attention to Airbnb's COVID cleaning protocol. The property has a lovely little garden and lots of places to sit outside and watch the fireflies at night, which are plentiful. The best part: Delightful hosts who went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. We mentioned that we were looking forward to building a fire, and Bill set up kindling, newspapers, and logs for us so it was all ready to go when we arrived. We didn't cook, but could have, because the kitchen was well stocked with coffee, tea, homemade muffins, cereal, peanut butter, etc. Bill and Lisa had great food and activity recommendations for us in town, too.”
