Super convenient location. Easy to get around. Had a really good sleep - good bed. Minus the fireworks which is to be expected since it CNY The call for prayers from the nearby mosques are also soothing. Not too loud. Need to note that toilet is on the grounds and floor while the bathroom ( without toilet) is together with bedroom on the 2nd floor. Washing Machine works well & my clothes dry fast in the open air bathroom on the 2nd floor. Thanks for the stay ! 🌟

I am at a loss for words about how incredible this home was and what a wonderful host Michael is. We travelled with 5 seniors and we were so comfortable in this architecturally gorgeous home- such a beautiful experience of Penang style. The location is marvellous and the electronic door lock meant all of us could explore the area and come home easily. Many thoughtful touches were appreciated, such as the bottled water (including some on the fridge!) the quality bathroom products, umbrellas and the fish food so we could feed the fish! The home is very comfortable with strong AC, although we hardly used it at night as the fans worked well and the house cools nicely in the evening. The many recommendations from Michael meant we were spoiled for choice with eateries and activities to do in the area. I cannot recommend this stay highly enough.

We had a great one night stay here during a short weekend trip to Penang from KL. There are many thoughtful touches to Ling Ling's place. Notes describing the place and the history. Local recommendations on a homemade map, complete with walking distances. A variety of local snacks to try. The location is convenient and walkable within Georgetown, but feels very private down a small side road.

A spacious living area is seen with a soft couch, a coffee table, and decorative rugs. Bright natural light filters in from large doors leading to a small backyard, where potted plants thrive. A TV is positioned nearby, enhancing the relaxed setting.

Stylishly Refurbished Heritage House (Muda Blue)

We stayed as a family of four (2 adults, 2 teens) at Eng's beautiful home for 3 nights. The place is just as good as the photos, a thoughfully converted shophouse with lots of character. We felt right at home. You're in the centre of Georgetown so easy walkable access to shops, restaurants and some lovely cafes (recommend Mugshot Cafe round the corner). Comfortable bedrooms and lounge area. The kitchen is simply equipped with microwave, toaster and a hob, but we didn't make much use of this, opting for local restaurants and Grab takeaways instead. Thoughtful touches, such as plenty of umbrellas, slippers for the house, a booklet on the restoration of Muda Blue (which we were invited to keep) and lovely toiletries in the bathroom, as well as laundry tablets for the washer. Note that you are in the middle of a busy town and we did experience some loud music on the last night but this did not detract from our stay at all. Great responsive hosts. Thank you, Eng and GL.

We absolutely loved our stay here, both in the apartment and the area. Honestly, we felt right at home, the space was perfect for us. Beautifully designed and furnished, super comfy bed and sofa. I was remote working and this was a perfect spot to chill and focus. Dining table was great to work at and the WiFi was reliable. The local area was brilliant, we loved exploring and the lady in the shop below us was so friendly and welcoming when we arrived and didn’t realise we needed to go through the (very popular) cafe to get to the door. A few things I wish I’d realised earlier: - the fan in the bathroom is a must. I loved the open bathroom but you really feel the difference from the air conditioned bedroom. There’s a big fan in the bathroom but for some reason I didn’t think to put it on until halfway through our stay! - the quietest air conditioned bedroom unit (front room) actually has the loudest external vent, so is a false economy to use if you want quiet. We loved it though!

This is our second time staying here, and we had a great stay again. It was a peaceful and quiet sanctuary right in the middle of Georgetown, with lots of great food nearby. Will definitely stay again.
