This apartment was the perfect place as we explored the area around Setubal! For other North Americans travelling in Portugal, be aware of a couple of things: The laundry facilities are a combo washer/dryer, not separate as we're used to, so get the instructions! Also, Portuguese homes typically don't need heating, so the place can get cold in January. Very good value!

The place was very quiet, with a nice garden area. We didn’t even feel that the owner’s family was living upstairs, since we didn’t hear any noise at all. We had all the amenities needed, and slept very well in comfy beds. The fact that we were allowed to use the parking inside the house was very handy. The communication with Angelina was very easy and she responded promptly to our questions. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a nice quiet neighborhood, with easy access to Lisbon and Cascais/Sintra areas.

Super recommended to stay in Susana's house, both she and her very friendly mother Hope. We arrived a little earlier than planned and they still let us park the cars. The house is impeccable, everything is very clean and very well prepared to stay. We stayed at the top of the house, which has everything you need to be. Each room had its own bathroom which is a very favorable point. It has a very well cared for patio where you can be, and even the top has its own terrace area with chairs and tables to be more private if you want. Anything we need, Hope was always available to help us. I would definitely stay again if I go back to Sintra.

Great stay at Bernardo and Patricia's. From our arrival to our departure, reliable, warm communication that met all our needs. Their apartment is comfortable, well arranged and spacious. The plus for the touches and small gifts during our stay. Very nice meeting for a good stay in Portugal 30 minutes from Lisbon and plenty of other places to visit. Having a car on site is a plus. We had a lovely stay for 11 days, host family was so lovely and warm, the place itself was comfortable, clean and practical. It also felt very safe and private. Would 100% recommend and will visit again if we get the chance!

Excellent host and great place to stay. It is a quiet oasis in the middle of Cascais. Upon entering the private courtyard, the sweet smell of Japanese cheesewood (yes, I had to Google the plant!) reminds me of walking in honeysuckle. Talking to Barbara and her daughter Victoria was always pleasant and informative.

We loved that Sandra’s place was so close to the ocean, and you have to try Berrio restaurant which is just a short walk. Sandra has a beautiful backyard… amazing trees and flowers and a great place to sit and relax. Our first experience with Portugal and have to admit the water is almost medicinal… never felt so clean and refreshed. Thank you Sandra and family and pets!

A really little paradise. Super quiet and super cozy. We felt absolutely welcome right from the personal welcome. We immediately noticed how much love and passion the two put into the small home. I wish we could have stayed longer - we will definitely be back.

Sara’s place was super comfortable and she was always available when we needed help - even during Easter Sunday! I 10/10 recommend.

The place is beautiful and peaceful, equipped with everything that is needed for a short-term stay. We really appreciated the privacy and calmness. Jose was very helpful at check-in and check-out, we had an absolutely lovely stay 😊 cannot wait to come back here with our puppy, so that he can also benefit from this lovely space.

We had a bit of a urgency to find accomodation and Avani was super quick to respond. Great hospitality and the accomodation was amazing.

Well, what can we say, the best Airbnb we have stayed at. Perfect spot on the beach, perfect host! We were welcomed with a bottle of wine (😊), some fantastic local info and such a proactive host in Angelina. She gave us a great option for our day trip into Lisbon (only 40 minutes away by bolt & ferry), great restaurant options and also gave us some fresh lemons and eggs from her organic farm! We have stayed at many airbnb’s but have to say, Angelina was by far the best host we have had. If we ever come back to Portugal, we will definitely stay here again!

The apartment is true to the description. The best thing is the pool and the space around it that is shared with other tenants, but we rarely saw them. Inside we only missed that the TV was only in French (although you can access apps like Netflix) and an oven, but both things did not seem essential to us. Didier was very friendly and hospitable. Too bad we couldn't talk much because we don't speak the same languages. We had a small problem in the apartment due to a lack of understanding, but as soon as we understood each other, he solved it quickly. The house is close to Foz do Arelho (within walking distance) and the beach. Foz is small, quiet and pleasant with a few restaurants and shops. A 15-minute drive away you have Caldas da Rainha with all the amenities (hypermarkets, restaurants...). In short: an apartment without great luxuries but with the essentials, with a spectacular outdoor space and close to the beach. Very nice hosts.

It was fantastic! We loved every minute. Alexandra is very nice and the apartment is lovely. We especially enjoyed the pool and the view. Would definitely come back!

We had a great time. Elio took very good care of us and gave us some great tips for activities and restaurants. The accomodation is lovely. We liked being in a more quiet place. We had a car and the distance to Ericeira was only about 15 minutes. Everything was lovely, thank you.
