The cabanas are owned and operated by Solarte & Rutilio Barqueño and his family Carmelita and Brenilda. 30$ per person per day includes homestay at our Eco-lodge. Trip, tours, and food are additional, but are very reasonable price:) Our 5 cabins are made of traditional Embera style housing type built on stilts whithout walls. There is no electrecity, but the are solar panels to charge any appliance. Water is treated for guest. Food is prepared with love and from farms of this subsistence.

A diferencia de la mayoría de las comunidades indígenas de San Blas, Armila se distingue como una comunidad costera en tierra firme, no en una isla, ofreciendo una experiencia transformadora que te transporta al pasado y redefine tu conexión con el entorno natural en la frontera entre Panama y Colombia. En 2023, recibió el Sello Verde del Ministerio de Cultura de Panamá por su Festival de Tortugas Marinas, reconocido por la UNESCO por sus buenas prácticas de conservación.

Armila - San Blas

Armila is an indigenous Guna community in San Blas Panama. They preserve their culture and traditions, and it is an authentic and untouristy destination. You can immerse yourself in the Guna culture, visit traditional homes and learn about their way of life. There are also tourist activities such as boat rides, jungle hikes, and waterfall and beach visits. At certain times, you can witness the arrival and spawning of sea turtles, protected by conservation programs.

Son unas cabañas donde podra tener contacto directo con la natualeza, puede realizar kayaks, tours de observación de aves, aprender actividades agroecoturisticas, va a aprender sobre la conservación de jaguares, ya que es l aunica finca a nivel nacional donde se lleva a cabo un proyecto de conservación de felinos. Disfrutara de la naturaleza y la tranquilidad en un mismo lugar. Puede montar a caballos. Y realizar varios tours desde allí.

La Chunga

La Chunga is in a difficult access indigenous community without electricity or roads. Come see this gem of a community and the indigenous way of life. You’ll love this place because of the nature walks, the wildlife, the gastronomy, and the people. We have a number of guided tours and adventures. My place is good for adventurers trying to see something new and exciting.

Sea turtle observation in San Blas, Panama

Enjoy the magical spectacle of nature, spawning and nesting of the world's largest sea turtles on the beach of an indigenous community in Panama, Armila San Blas. Know the importance and spiritual respect that the indigenous gunas have for that giant animal. The season starts in mid-February until the end of June.
