Family-friendly vacation rentals in Elizabethtown-Kitley

This was the perfect addition to my wedding weekend! Julie made it extra special with a welcome sign and bottle of champagne to great my guests and I! The place is absolutely stunning, so warm, cozy and just what we needed for a wedding stay with the bridal party. It surpassed my expectations and Julie and her partner were wonderful - we even had a tour and learned some history on the place. Can’t wait to come back !

I had a wonderful stay at Beth’s place! The space was clean, cozy, and had everything I needed for a comfortable visit. It felt like a true home away from home. Beth was a fantastic host—friendly, responsive, and thoughtful with all the little touches that made the stay even more enjoyable. The location was peaceful and conveniently located. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Erin's place was wonderful for our family of 12! We agree with the other reviews - the photos don't do it justice. It was clean and well-equipped. The only negative was that we arrived on a very hot and humid day, so we definitely very hot, with no AC. We brought some fans and did purchase some larger fans. The kitchen was perfect - we made most of our meals. We did go out one night and the Gran View and really like that suggestion. The paddle boards/kayaks and floats were so nice to not have to rent. The river is super calm before and after storms or in the mornings. We rented a pontoon boat from Wellsey Island, and it was dropped off at a nearby marina. We docked the boat on one side or the other of the dock, depending on the current or rough waters. We loved the quiet road for walks, and only a 25 minute drive to A-bay. The grill worked well. All in all, it was a great place!

Our stay was great and Fedora got back to us very quickly about any questions we had! Very great space and property, would definitely return :)

We had a great family week away at David’s place and as a host he was super helpful. The view from the window/hot-tub/deck was fantastic, shame we could not bring it home with us! The weather was not great for the week, meaning limited time on the lake. We did manage a day on a hired boat, the other days we went on day trips to local towns and Ottawa by train from Brockville. We also did a city cruise of 1000 islands and attended the annual 1000 islands rib fest. The house was well equipped with all we needed for a great family stay and a relaxing week. For a BBQ recommend a trip to “The Butcher Shop”.

We had a wonderful stay at Springwood Cottage Resort! Ed were amazing hosts—always attentive, kind, and genuinely welcoming. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The cottage had everything we needed, which made packing and settling in so much easier. One of the highlights was the access to paddleboards and kayaks—they were in excellent condition and it was such a treat not to have to transport our own. It’s the perfect spot for anyone who enjoys being on the water! We’d love to come back again, hopefully in warmer weather, to enjoy even more of what this lovely place has to offer. Thank you for making our stay so easy and memorable!

Josseline’s place was a perfect place for my kids and I to stay while in town for a sporting event. It was beautiful and clean. Josseline was very accommodating to us having a bit of a later checkout. We will definitely look to stay here again if we are in the area again.

It was simply a wonderful experience. It was a peaceful environment. The view was amazing, you could see the incredible lake and island view even from inside the house and the balcony was amazing. It was a dreamy place that I would definitely go back to. Also, our host was very helpful. They helped us with everything, I didn't think we would be this comfortable. Rafael had a beautiful basement apartment, separate entrance and amenities. We appreciated the small touches of breakfast !! & toiletries for what we forgot. Close location to everything we need and family too. The only down side was we had an older and large top-heavy dog who couldn’t manage the stairs (husky malamute). They were advertised but I just didn’t think of it until we struggled, and our younger and smaller dogs were just fine with them.

Kristina has a wonderful property. Great location, fantastic amenities and a very comfortable home. Great location in Barrhaven as it was perfect for us visiting our family living in Ottawa. We hope to be able to stay at Kristina's in the near future.

We really enjoyed Tammie's place, very cool old farmhouse in a quiet neighborhood. We saw deer out in the yard on several occasions. Tammie and her staff put a lot of thought into stocking the kitchen. The place has lots of room and is great for larger families.

The retreat is a lovely tranquil spot in the Ottawa Valley. It is spacious and comfortable, with lots of big windows looking out on the surrounding countryside. The only close neighbours are the deer and the wild turkeys. Carol is a friendly and charming host and she responds right away to any requests. Highly recommended! I plan to return, any time that urban life gets to be too much!

We had a great stay at Mark's family-oriented home while we were in town for a wedding. We travelled with our three young children, and they had lots to explore and do within the home. This place is in lovely, quiet neighbourhood, with quick, easy access to amenities and lots of what Ottawa has to offer. Mark was a friendly communicator, and was easy to contact prior to and during our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Anne’s place was a great spot to stay while we visited family in the area! It was private and quiet and the surroundings were so peaceful! We’ll definitely be back!

What a lovely spot! Susan & family were so welcoming, my 4 year old loved getting to meet the many beautiful critters surrounding the guest house (getting toppled over by a friendly goat just added to the adventure!). The space is thoughtfully laid out to maximize the views, and the bed & furnishings are super comfortable. This was a staycation for us and it was truly a treat to have such a relaxing getaway in our own neighborhood.

Very spacious comfortable accommodation. No easy place to go for a walk other than the main road, and driving required for food and drink.

We were celebrating my husband’s 65th birthday with our children and grandchildren. It was a lovely weekend being together in beautiful surroundings. We loved eating our meals in the outdoor room and being able to enjoy the view and sitting by the fire every night. There is a pool that isn’t heated so it was cold but I’m sure with the hot weather approaching it will heat up nicely.

Fantastic hosts and a great location with lots of space and piece and quiet on the river shore. Loved the hammocks hanging up in different places. The pool was clean and our girls loved having it to themselves. The cottage(s) could do with an little upgrade especially the kitchen but beds were comfortable and it did have all we needed for 2 days including a barbecue.

The house was exactly what we needed for our trip to the Ottawa area—exactly as depicted in the description! My partner arrived before I did, and Anne was very responsive, answering his questions as I was still driving to the house. We also appreciated that someone came to clear even more space in the parking area while we were there. Would highly recommend for anyone who needs a place to stay with their dogs.
