I had a wonderful stay. The host is very responsive to our requests. He often check in with us. The place is comfortable and has everything that he advertised. It was easy for uber to find his address. However, the location is not ideal. It is not in walking distance to any shops or restaurants. The area can be very dark at night time but I do not feel unsafe.

Zeinab is one of the nicest women I have ever met. I stayed with her for a month and have really enjoyed it. She invited me to events and has invited me to come celebrate the start of Ramadan with her family, which is very special for me. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Cairo is a complex and fascinating city. Celine’s apartment is in a once very fashionable area with grand bourgeoisie houses from the early 20C , Embassy’s and institutions like the French Institute (the gardens and buildings of which the apartment overlooks) and The American university etc. But in what seems typical cairo fashion, time and fashions have moved on and it is now a shadow of its former glory but still a vibrant and really interesting and convenient area to be in. There are small shops , market stalls and places to eat very close and yet the apartment is quiet and very peaceful. It is also spacious and well laid out with two sitting rooms and a dining room and the two large double bedrooms. Celine herself was always prompt and helpful to requests for information or help . Coming from Madrid and arriving at the apartment in the middle of the night , I found the entrance and stairway was a bit of a shock , but once inside the apartment it was very reassuringly homely.

We had a wonderful time at the apartment. It’s located in a historical building, beautifully decorated in a modern style. The place was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Georgie is an exceptional host. He welcomed us even though we arrived early in the morning, and throughout our stay, he kept in touch to make sure we were okay and didn’t need anything. He was also there at checkout and kindly arranged a taxi to take us to the airport. A big thank you to Georgie—we truly appreciate his hospitality and wish him the very best!

The apartment is as described located in a quiet downtown area. It’s clean and cosy. Apartment is completely self contained and Mohammed is a great host.

The location of the house is good, although it's chaotic around, but the floor where the house is located is very clean, the interior of the house is also very tidy, and the facilities are complete.The only flaw is that there is a mosque next to the house, and the loud recitation of the scriptures every morning will wake people up. Also, the wifi speed is very slow. These two points are worth noting.

My colleague and I loved Mayssa’s flat, where we spent two weeks. Very urban Egyptian chic, a both genuine and comfortable place to stay in Cairo. There are two nice cafes on the street, Vasko and Falak, and a minimarket in the same building. Saad Zaghloul metro station is within walking distance. We (middle-aged Swedish women) loved taking the metro in Cairo, very cheap and we felt absolutely safe. Mayssa is a great host, and her home is well equipped with everything. I would definitely book this flat again if coming back to Cairo.
