I can't say enough good things about our stay at Houseboat65. I was there with five other folks - a couple & their two kids (8 & 11) and another single person. We had the three apartments on the second floor — perfect. I got lucky and slept in a gorgeous three-room space surrounded by windows, which filled the room with light. We spent a lot of time on the Nile-facing porches, chatting and having cocktails. It felt like our own little slice of calm and peace in busy Cairo. Jerome and the amazing Marie (we love you, Marie!) were beyond responsive: anything we needed (and that wasn't much: these spaces are well-stocked) or any time we needed assistance with luggage, etc., they were there in a flash. Marie served as our driver and top-notch tour guide for two days and wow - we felt so comfortable and well-taken care of. She knows the city so well and didn't hesitate to take us to some very far-flung locations. We can't WAIT to tell our friends about our stay and hope we get to come back!

My stay at Ahmed's place was great! The apartment was clean, well equipped and very centrally located. He was a very friendly and helpful host. I would come back at any time and can only recommend it!

The room was pretty clean and beautiful and spacious! I was so excited when I saw a welcome drink and snack 😊 The host is soooo kind and helpful and responds quickly! I recommend it 1000% and I’ll be back in cairo in the summer so I know which one I’ll book again 😁🙏

My hotel experience was excellent by all accounts. From the first I walked in, I noticed the cleanliness and high ranking in every detail. The bed is fresh and very comfortable, providing me with a calm and relaxing sleep. The bathroom is so clean and the whole furniture is new, it's like you're still in a place just opened. I asked about the hotel and they told me that they were only 15 days open — and that explains it all: attention, equipment, and cleanliness. Its location behind the Kempinski Hotel means close to everything and quiet at the same time. Second time staying at Rania’s place. Another great stay. The flat is beautiful, clean and comfortable and the location is super handy for getting to lost places in central Cairo. Rania was friendly and responsive as always. I would highly recommend :)

Such a hidden gem in down town Cairo. Ideal for the traveller seeking local cuisine & wants to explore as well as experience the heart beat of hów the locals work and socialize. Lovely local restaurants, bakery's, street vendor's and much more. Mahmoud is welcoming and has shown true warm Egyptian hospitality.

I spent in total 5 beautiful days at Zoe’s apartment in the Garden City. She is a very attentive and caring host. Both her and her partner Umar acted very nicely throughout and really helpful. Will miss Tata, the dog - the sweetest creature (loves to bark but I think it the way to socialize, did not bother me at all). I am really sensitive to mattresses in the places I don’t know and here had very comfortable sleep. Garden city is the great neighborhood to stay if you visit Cairo for the first time - convenient to reach and felt super safe even at night.

We are very satisfied with our stay. The apartment is brand new with lots of facilities available (hair dryer, iron, linen, soap, etc.). The kitchen was very well equipped. The staff was very friendly, we enjoyed our exchange with Phoebi one of the managers very much. The custodians were always helpful. The location is in the city center with garden views, there is an open market every day right next door and the metro station is next door (1 minute) The location is ideal for exploring the city center. However, the neighborhood is a little lively (like all neighborhoods in the city center) not ideal for those looking for absolute calm. I will definitely be back at Memphis Cairo.

My colleague and I loved Mayssa’s flat, where we spent two weeks. Very urban Egyptian chic, a both genuine and comfortable place to stay in Cairo. There are two nice cafes on the street, Vasko and Falak, and a minimarket in the same building. Saad Zaghloul metro station is within walking distance. We (middle-aged Swedish women) loved taking the metro in Cairo, very cheap and we felt absolutely safe. Mayssa is a great host, and her home is well equipped with everything. I would definitely book this flat again if coming back to Cairo.

Our stay at Maged’s place in Cairo was truly exceptional. Communication was effortless, with clear instructions and quick responses. Maged even helped us arrange a private car, which made our arrival smooth and easy. The apartment was spacious, spotless, beautifully designed, and had every amenity we could possibly need. The large balcony overlooked a famous mosque and offered a peaceful spot to relax. The gated property felt completely safe and secure. What made this stay truly unforgettable was the outstanding hospitality of Maged’s father, Mr. Mohy Elprince. His calm, kind, and generous presence made us feel instantly at home. He helped us with anything we needed, brought us delicious local Koshary, and even gifted us lovely souvenirs from Egypt. His thoughtfulness touched our hearts. Maged was also respectful, polite, and attentive throughout our stay. Thank you both for such a warm and memorable experience. We’ll always cherish it and definitely hope to return when we visit Cairo.

This must have been one of the most beautiful AirBnBs I've ever stayed in. High ceilings, well curated decor, quality furnishings in an apartment sited in a charming building with famous past residents of Egypt high society. We stayed 1 week as a family and had lots of space to navigate, and discover many unique art pieces and details in the space. Garden City was lovely for walking around and a central point for exploring both Cairo and Giza. The neighbourhood was very busy with lots of honking heard throughout the day, but truly this is hard to avoid in Cairo. Plus there was a neat noise machine in the room for those who may need -- a lovely touch! Only frustration was the hot water in the shower, as it was gas-powered and quite tricky maintaining a consistently warm shower. Nevertheless, Charlene was very helpful in trouble-shooting and following up on our comfort levels. Overall, I very much appreciated the thoughtful details and soft place to rest in Cairo.

I lost count of how many times I’ve stayed at Safaa’s place - it truly is my second home! Safaa and her family are so kind and always make sure everything is perfect and comfortable before my stay. Great place to stay: very central location, very clean, apartment is bigger than I thought based on the pictures, supermarkets around the corner, surprisingly quiet at night for downtown Cairo. Thank you very much!
