Quirky Mountain Cabin Amazing Views

We had a lovely stay we Colibri Eco Lodge. The site is peaceful with fabulous views. The hut was basic but the photos were clear about this so there were no surprises. The shower had hot water and we were never cold at night. Breakfast was included and served by the friendly staff. We had planned on doing different day trips but ended up staying on site as it was so peaceful. We were there in October, so not a busy time. Unfortunately, we arrived Monday and left on Friday so not many places for dinner were open. However, Colibri serves dinner so we ate in three times and enjoyed it.

The apartment is spectacular. Exactly as in the pictures. It's all very clean. German is a host who makes it a point to make you feel at home. Always very helpful, caring and kind! He left a special breakfast for our arrival with everything we would need right away until we could go to the market! Very comfortable bed and bath. Everything is very new and comfortable! Beautiful Home in Bohemian Neighborhood, Sopocachi

Our family of 4 (2 kids aged 8 and 10) stayed with Eneida and Bernardo for 7 nights, and could not have been happier with our choice. The house is wonderful, character home just outside the center of the neighbourhood of Sopocachi. Like most of La Paz, there are hills to be navigated, however we very much enjoyed walking to all destinations from the home. It is only about 20 minutes to the heart of the city. The house itself is very spacious, and seems like a rarity in terms of size. It is a shared space, however the owners go out of their way to ensure you have your privacy. They have an adorable dog named Blanca that checks in on you every day. We had more than enough space in the bedrooms to be comfortable, and their were plenty of warm blankets and space heaters to keep you warm during the chilly evenings. Absolutely the best part about the home is the hospitality of Eneida and Bernardo. From the moment we arrived they made us feel like part of their extended "family", providing fresh bread each morning and lots of recommendations on the surrounding area. We were lucky enough to be staying at the home while Bernardo's family was visiting, and were welcomed into their group without reservation. It was wonderful to sit by the fireplace and exchange stories during the evenings. We highly recommend staying with Eneida and Bernardo.

The apartment is located in a central area of La Paz, where you can find everything nearby, being in the penthouse there is no bulla and you have a divine view of the city, in addition its host is very friendly and communicator for all the doubts and comments we have.

Me and my girlfriend had a great stay at this beautiful lodge with amazing views of the mountains. We were warmly welcomed by Patrick and Brenda with a pastry and a homemade weissen beer. We felt right at home and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful countryside. after a day of hiking, the sauna was an amazing place to rest. Moreover, the breakfasts were plentiful and delicious! I would wholeheartedly recommend everyone to stay here. Vielen dank!

Spanish Lessons & Family Homestay

William and his family were amazing. I started my travels in South America here and William not only helped me brush up on my Spanish, but also helped me get set up with a Bolivian SIM card (which can be a hassle for travelers) and introduced me to the bustling city so much that I felt very confident moving around on my own after leaving. My bed was warm and the shower was hot, plus the apartment is in a deceptively convenient neighborhood, with relatively few steep hills to the city. I wish I’d spent more of my time in La Paz with William and Leticia (who is an excellent cook by the way)! I did the Red Cap Tour for the touristy areas and had William be my guide (and translator) in El Alto!

Place is great for young people or couples. Diego doesn’t mind sharing food or giving directions or tour suggestions. I made good friends with Diego and his friends. Would definitely recommend. For non-spanish speakers it may be a little hard to find the apartment because google maps doesn’t register it but using the Air Bnb app helps and you can call Diego if you get turned around.

Everything is excellent. It is located in a good place one and a half blocks from Plaza Isabel La Católica and close to restaurants, house of changes, and a shopping center. The house is cozy and the room as it is in the photos. It didn't feel the cold. Mrs. Maria is a nice person, very friendly and excellent cook. Their breakfasts are a delight. My husband and I felt right at home.

It felt like being at home! I had an issue with my initial airbnb and they welcomed me outside of check-in hours and saved me. Andres' mom is very nice and the breakfast was delicious. Everything was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and the location was unbeatable for the south. Thank you!!!
