Private Lakefront Fishing Peaceful Getaway Relax

DavidRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The home was great, absolutely stellar host and I would encourage anyone to stay here! But this trip was just about fishing so I have a few comments that might help others if bank fishing is your primary goal. If you're looking to catch smaller fish for eating, then this location is ideal. The pier that extends out to the water is both a huge positive and a potential negative. It allows you to cast out further if you want to, but unfortunately since it's right in the middle of your fishing area, fish can easily swim into the legs of the pier and get wrapped around the pier legs with the line potentially getting snagged or broke. I lost an incredibly large fish due to the long pier, but it was still an incredible experience to have such a large fish on the line. There is no doubt, if the pier was not there this would be a premier location to bank fish Lake Tawakoni. When I come back, I may bring a boat. :)

Everything you could ask for and more. Tasteful upscale western decor in peaceful lush green surroundings. Lauren made me feel at home, quickly answered questions and even got me familiarized on how to use the chiminea. I will be looking forward to my next visit. Definitely super hosts.

Cozy Apartment in a Classic Barn

BonnieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We really lucked up by finding this place! We’ve always wanted to stay in a barn and this was the perfect place to knock that off of our bucket list! The hosts were absolutely incredible and so friendly! Rick greeted us at check in and he and Christie were very communicative throughout the whole stay. Everything was spot on from the pictures and this was just the perfect spot to spend our first night as an engaged couple with our little family. 10/10 would recommend and visit again!

Lakeside Bliss-Waterfront Haven at Lake Tawakoni

SaraRating, 5 stars6 days ago
The home was perfect for my young family of four, + two grandparents and exactly as described, a beautiful location. It was seemingly all brand new inside and spotless, which was extremely appreciated after previous vacation rentals. The excessive June rain caused the dock/yard to be underwater -absolutely not the hosts fault- The younger family members walked through/stood in the water to fish and swim from it anyways. For future June rainfall guests: The lake is separated by a bridge, the home is located off of this bridge. The home is on the small section and the rest of the lake is under the bridge. The water level meant we couldn't boat under the bridge to return the older folks directly to the house during the heat of the day. If your bringing old folks who need to be inside during midday, I'd advise guests to check expected rainfall for June in the year they rent. If you've got a young family June is no problem.
A quaint cabin is presented against a colorful sunset sky, featuring a wooden porch with seating. The cabin's blue exterior is complemented by a large tree nearby, and a grassy area surrounds the structure, creating a serene country setting.

Thank you so much! We had such a great time unplugging and getting in touch with nature at this beautiful little spot. I just loved the decor and the spiritual elements.. it felt like home. Loved the kayaks and paddle boat, the chickens and goats, and the landscape around the place was just beautiful! So sweet and cozy. Thank you again.
