“Cindy's space was lovely, she is an amazing host, and the access to the beautiful lake made the stay more than we could expect. The only warning I would give is: if you are much over 6'2ish the ceilings might be a bit cramped. But, Cindy welcomed us and provided food, drinks, and even a bottle of wine. She offered thoughtful suggestions for the area, and was quickly available for all communications. She also built a fire and allowed us use of her firepit and provided a s'mores kit. All of her kindness and her beautiful space made for a truly wonderful weekend. If you're looking in the area, book her now. Simply amazing - 6 stars.”
This lakeside 3 bedroom retreat with huge quarried stone fireplace defines a "Maine cabin". My grandfather built the Big House in 1944 with rustic knotty pine walls, high ceilings, a modern kitchen, a spacious screened porch ten feet from the water, and spectacular lake views from every room in the house. Truly a rare and unique property in an age where newer buildings have large setbacks from the lake's edge.
“Everything about this listing looked and sounded amazing but I still wasn’t prepared for how beautiful it truly is in person. It greatly exceeded my expectations. This was my first Airbnb experience and I couldn’t have asked for anything better. The location is very private, peaceful, and expansive, with something for everyone. My family spent most of our time on the dock and the screened in porch, and when it rained we enjoyed the fireplace indoors. The house was bigger than I expected, while also being incredibly cozy. The beds were comfortable, the chairs perfect for curling up with a book, and we loved having different seating options for our meals together—on the porch when the weather was nice and inside next to the large picture window when it was chilly outside. My favorite part was keeping all of the windows open for the duration of our stay, waking up to birds chirping and rain falling through the trees. It was my paradise. David was quick to respond to my many questions and was incredibly accommodating. I can’t thank him enough for opening his family home to strangers so that we could have this amazing experience. I hope to return soon.”

“A perfect week at the lake. A spacious back yard leads to easy lake access with a dock, floating raft, and relaxing hammock and bench, perfect for daily swimming with plenty of towels provided. In the evening relax on the screened in porch and enjoy the lake breeze while you listen to the loons. If you do get caught inside on poor weather there are plenty of puzzles, games, and books. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of glasses, plates, silverware, pots and pans, and spices. And if you need any additional items there is a well stocked convenience store and a farm store less than a minute drive away. Our family of seven appreciated all the space to spread out, even when everyone was inside it did not feel crowded. Definitely a cabin that ranks high on our list for return visits!”
