We had an incredibly relaxed and satisfying stay at Rajiv’s place. It’s hard to believe this charming bungalow is 144 years old, thanks to Rajiv’s meticulous upkeep while preserving its colonial charm in every corner. Ideally located in Nuwara Eliya, it’s a perfect retreat for anyone looking to unwind. The hospitality was exceptional—caretakers Lasantha, Pradeep, and the team went above and beyond, from welcoming us with tea to preparing amazing dinners. They even let me join in and cook, which I thoroughly enjoyed! A special thanks to Rajiv for personally staying an extra hour to greet us and give us a tour of the property before leaving. Highly recommend this beautiful place for an unforgettable getaway!

Staying with Ajith and his family was a pleasure. We had a wonderful time staying with them. I would recommend to try the meals of them. His mother made us every morning homemade coconut rotti (so good) and we tried also her curry what was probably one of the best we ate in Sri Lanka. It is not in Ella Town but he offers a lift free of charge so it is not a problem and you can avoid tourist crowds.

We had a great stay here for one night. A great little tree house in the jungle. Amazing hosts, 2 lovely dogs and some great food cooked for us. There's a great place nearby too watch the sunset while overlooking Sigiriya and other mountains in the distance. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our stay at the Beach house. It was only a minute walk to the beach and it's a nice, safe, secluded location. Saravana went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. He's great company and we truly enjoyed talking to him. He's a talentd chef. We all loved all the meals plus the BBQ he prepped for us. Definitely a highlight of our stay. We'll definitely visit again and highly recommend to everyone.

This is a beautiful Villa that can accomodate around 6-7 people. I would say I had the most amazing stay there. The place is clean and tidy. It had all the amenities required. The care-taker Dias did a wonderful job in cooking and catering to our needs from time to time. Jayantha, the owner of the property was beyond helpful to make our whole trip a beautiful one.

i had very enjoyable stay at tharanga's home, it's just few meters away to walk to the best surfing beach Arugambay also to main Street. i had good local experience here, it has very amazing view surrounding by coconut trees,also very clean and quiet place. The host is very kindful person, communicate with him was very easy to me, he gave me good support to do my volunteering works,i took lots of amazing pictures there. also he have me the chance to tast natura local coconut drink. Highly recommend this place to people who would like to stay at peaceful place near the beautiful Arugambay beach. unfortunately i stay here for only one day with my busy schedule,i would like spent more time here, surely i'll come again with my buddies.

We enjoyed our night stay at Murali place. It is located in a peaceful neighborhood and it feels very safe. Minutes away from the beach. The couple is very welcoming and made us feel like home. Our three children enjoyed all the fish feeding . We will be returning in 2 years ,2021

It was a really nice stay. Bandula was a friendly host and gave tipps for sigiriya. The breakfast was a a really nice top on. We would recommend it and its a good location to slow down a little bit and reach everything good in sigiriya.

Fantastic home and some great help from Danuo and Praba who cooked some fantastic food and were always there to help and offer services and information . Praba was a great Caddy ! Overall a fantastic host, house helps and definitely recommend for families and friends coming to Victoria

The accommodation is in the middle of nature, about a 25-minute walk from Ellas main road, but with the Tuktuk you are in the middle of the action (500 LKR) in 5 minutes. We were very warmly welcomed and also did the cooking class in the accommodation, as well as a tour of Ella's main sights - I can recommend both and you can also get recommendations and tips on site. You are very private in the chalets and have beautiful views, so you can escape the hustle and bustle of the city. You have to get used to the sounds of nature first - but this is really a luxury problem :-) The breakfast was sufficient and is made with a lot of love. You can also buy things in the supermarket if something is missing :-) We can recommend it!

A true retreat, nestled in the mountains. think stunning views, tranquility, wild peacocks and monkeys,but not a handy location to sight see from. Map was misleading and Haputhale is an hour away. Rooms are simple with delightful antiques. Staff are very courteous but have very limited English. Food was simple and delicious Sri Lankan cuisine. Make sure you book meals in advance. They kindly arranged a delicious birthday cake for us. Beautiful gardens with architectural features everywhere, lovely views, good swimming pool but lacking any comfortable seating. A truly unique place to get away from modern life.

Located about 20 minute drive from Ella, The Hideaway is a beautiful and remote spot, and was in fact better than I had expected from the AirBnB profile and pictures. The views are the major selling point, with fantastic views throughout the location. Staff very helpful in organising trips into Ella and able to offer on site spa treatment which was excellent. Bedrooms were more comfortable than I had expected, bathrooms were quite basic but not enough to trouble me. Onsite food was very good, but we preferred to travel into Ella for evening meals. Whether you want to just hideaway for a few days, or use this as a more remote spot to access Ella - it is great.

Outstanding place, surreal views and service to match! The pictures don't do it justice but trust me, you won't be disappointed! Perfect angle for sunset over the infinity pool or even dining in room. Be careful on the road in, very rocky. Loved our stay here and already planning our next trip back! Gamini deserves a gold medal, couldn't ask for a better host!

The apartment is bright and clean and tastefully furnished. The complex had a pool and was also on the beach. Theodore was great with quick communication and allowed an early check in. Wish we could have stayed longer

We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We especially loved the nice staff, who welcomed us warmly and recommended great activities. I was able to have a great conversation. The room was very clean and the pool invited you to cool off with great views after activities. Breakfast was classic and proactively offered refreshments. The team was very flexible about changes and also prepared breakfast at an earlier time than planned as we wanted to get started early on a trip. We were really more than satisfied and definitely would come back.
