Family-friendly vacation rentals in East Rochester

Drift away was a wonderful cottage right on the lake. Place was extremely comfortable. Beautiful views. We didn’t have the greatest weather which would have made the trip so much better, so we hope to plan a trip back soon.

Nicest house we’ve stayed in during our 4 years as parents of a kid at the college nearby. Beautiful, spacious old home with a wonderful yard and outdoor space. Comfortable for 6 adults. Walkable to downtown. Merry was as communicative and kind as any host we’ve ever had. Cannot recommend this gem enough.

Peppermint Cottage was everything we hoped it would be! The scent of peppermint welcomed us upon our arrival. The fireplace and wide-plank floors created a perfect ambiance as we enjoyed the comfortable, cozy living room. The beds were comfy and the sheets crisp and clean. We enjoyed our stay so much that we hope to visit again someday.

This was a great house in a great location. Nearby lots of local restaurants and wineries, and the view was beautiful. The house had lots of space, and was very clean. Pete was very responsive, gave clear instructions, and was very accommodating to our needs. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

The home and host were fantastic, and the community was warm and welcoming. The surrounding area was quiet, scenic, and filled with courteous people, exactly what we had hoped for. The wildlife was a wonderful surprise. The abundance of animals, combined with the nearby lake, created memorable and diverse experiences for our kids. Couldn’t have been better. Thank you!

We loved how everything was labeled. Only thing I would request for future guests is bedside lamps. The weather was terrible but we had fun playing games, doing a puzzle, eating out, visiting the thrift store. Thank you! I would highly recommend this lake house to my friends and family.

The stay at Ferryland was amazing! Ontario lake is such a powerful and beautiful place to be. Jan made the stay possible, easy and comfortable. Will highly consider vacationing again here!!!

The place was perfect. we had a wonderful time and the cottage was actually bigger than what it seemed in the photos. the decks are huge. Chris was was very informative and incredibly helpful. I grew up in this lake it was the perfect place to take my family to experience it. Thanks for a great visit!

In a word “SUPERB”! Great place to stay with a fantastic view. We like staying away from the attractions and hustle bustle but within driving distance. This was perfect. Strongly recommend this property and host.

It was a lovely Airbnb…just like the pictures Depicted. It was well stocked except that you need to bring your own soap for the shower. There are plenty of brand stores on Monroe Ave. if your need to purchase anything. Location is perfect and very convenient. Will definitely return again when visiting Rochester.

The Cottages were beautiful and the beds were so comfortable. It was nice and hot out so it was necessary to have AC and each cottage had AC that worked great. The lake was perfect and we were able to easily get out there every day we stayed. The place was pet friendly, so we brought our Golden, who also enjoyed the water. The views are perfect and everyone had so much fun. Bruce was very communicative and friendly. Although we got confused by parking at first that was easily fixed ( our problem with reading the directions). If you want a place to stay where everyone can get together or have their own space this is the place right on Canandaigua Lake!

Was a beautiful place. Quite had plenty of good fire wood and very clean place. Neighbors were great enclosed front porch was great to eat and be able to look at lake. Nice air conditioning though out home. Will definitely visit again. Steve was a wonderful host. 5 stars I.n my book

We stayed at Amy's place while visiting family in the area. It's a beautiful house and we were very comfortable. We loved that it was dog friendly which is one of our major requirements when traveling! The beds were comfortable and the home was very clean. We were happy with our stay.-- I do want to mention there aren't a ton of plates or bowls which wasn't a problem for us just something to keep in mind when booking. We would definitely stay here again!

This was my sister and my second time staying at Roger's AirBNB. We purposely returned for the wonderful hosting, convenience, access to great parks, museums, and family nearby. This time we stayed on the first floor which was beautiful and homey. The surrounding neighbors were friendly and I loved walking my dogs and chatting with them everyday. Roger is a fantastic host - always responsive, a gentleman, and professional. He was flexible with our wish to return this year for which we are grateful. We will definitely consider returning again.

***** 5 stars! We recently spent a week visiting family, and felt right at home at Peter and Ana’s wonderful Pittsford Village home. During the booking process, I had a lot of questions and found the hosts to be responsive, natural, and flexible. Once we arrived there was little we needed, but Peter and Ana checked in along the way to ensure our stay was perfect. The house is a gem -strong, comfortable, clean, with a perfect mix of fun vintage charm and updates where it really counts. We enjoyed coming home each evening and discovering something new- the coffee bar tucked in the pantry, a new piece of artwork, a find from a beach vacation, the cozy backyard seating area, even a small den with vintage records and memorabilia. You can tell this home has been the center of a creative and loving family. Being right in Pittsford village is a treat as well- quiet, but walking distance from the canal and Schoen Place ( we walked to the Memorial Day parade,) and a quick drive to anywhere<3

Erin's place was the perfect location for a guys weekend! The house was very nice, tons of space and perfect for what we needed. Very close to breweries, wineries and Geneva. We also loved the lake being right across the street. I highly recommend a stay!

I really enjoyed staying at Gina's place, highly recommend. I like the location as it is near applebees and walmart. Very comfortable and would stay there again.

absolutely amazing! every single aspect of the home was incredible. humongous inside, grand master bed/bath. immaculate accommodations. beautiful backyard! pool, hot tub, the best showers, 3 person sauna worked amazing. tons of space to spread out. our party had 11 people in it and noone was near one another. we all had tons of space. the showers and water pressure was to die for. ill never enjoy a shower as much as I did being here. host was amazing. great communication. very clear and responsive to any questions. by far the best home ive ever stayed in and I'm sure ill never ever find one this amazing again. will 110% return in the future. I wish I could live here!

The place is old, but in beautiful condition. It was a very convenient location for us meeting with local family in the area and close to downtown and the zoo. Unfortunately the weather was still not summertime and the pool was not yet open. We'll have to come back when it's warmer. Plenty of extras in the kitchen. Mark went the extra mile and provided a spare propane tank for the grill, which was a lifesaver, as we had invited family members over and had a full rack of hamburgers and hotdogs to cook.

Magnificent homestead built in 1855. Beautiful grounds. Loved the animals in the barn. Lovely tennis court and swimming pool. Comfy beds! Martha was totally responsive and helpful. Peaceful and relaxing stay!😊
