Great host, great house, great location! This is a very private house that is not far from town, only 20 minutes from the ferry. The house is clean, well appointed and spacious. It’s right on the water which gives hours of enjoyable relaxing both day and night. Speaking of night, you haven’t seen a night sky like this, it’s really amazing! This home was the perfect temporary home base for me and my family as we explored southern Nova Scotia. The host is excellent at communicating clearly. My family of 4 was more than comfortable during our stay here. We’d definitely stay again! Thank you for a great stay!

Every step of the way - John was a a great communicator, making sure we had all the information we needed for our visit and the surrounding area. His cozy get away, is surrounded by beautiful nature, very private and yet only 10 minutes from the town of Annapolis Royal with all the amenities. The open fireplace, with lots of DRY wood and kindling was a bonus as the weather was stormy during our visit. John also checked in with us a few times to make sure we could get in and out of the driveway during the storm. 2 lovely balconies would be perfect in the summer for sitting out and looking into the trees - and which we were able to use this trip for barbequeing in the snow storm:) Very dog friendly as located off the main road and km of trails right out the door for walking off leash or snowshoeing. Would absolutely return at any time of year!

Our stay at Jane's place was fantastic! It was even bigger than the photos made it look. We felt right at home and were able to use the well-equipped kitchen and BBQ to make our meals. It was a great home base for day trips into Bear River and Digby. The beach outside was incredibly private and perfect for beach combing. We'd stay again in a heartbeat!

This was my first girlfriend trip. We arrived at the house and the seven of us were Wowed! Everything you could need was there. Perfect kitchen for meals and the open concept was great for everyone being together. The beds were very comfortable. The whole house is spotless. The hot tub on the upper deck and the view from there is beautiful. Summerville beach was only a couple minutes away. Next trip will include our husbands. The house next door would be great if anyone would want a family reunion getaway.

The place was cozy, clean, and easy to get to, with beautiful views of the lake and thoughtfully curated decor that made it feel like a relaxing retreat. We especially loved having the hot tub and projector for a movie night—it’s such a fun touch! The only small downside was that the projector was listed as being in the bedroom but wasn’t, and the outdoor setup could use better sound when the hot tub is running. Still, it was a wonderful stay and definitely deserving of 5 stars!

Our group of six enjoyed the cottage and bunkie. There is a lot of room to spread out and pursue different activities. The deck on the lake is a highlight. There are plenty of board games and comfy seating inside if the weather isn't cooperating. It was warm and cozy when the temperature dropped in early November. We used the cottage as a base for exploring the area - Annapolis Royal, Kejimkujik Park, and Digby. The property is in a remote lakeside location in a small cottage community.

Karen's place is like home away from home for our pals' weekends away - well outfitted kitchen with a beautiful site on the Annapolis River across from Annapolis Royal, comfortable lounge and living areas, lots of great books to read and located in a charming little village. Karen is very responsible and is a great host - thanks again, Karen!

The Cottage looked exactly as pictured. Clean, private, easy to get in, with beautiful views. The host answered us timely and was very kind. Would definitely recommend a stay with them to a friend!
