Family-friendly vacation rentals in Downtown San Jose

We stayed at Sara's while visiting family nearby, but her home felt like a vacation in itself. The backyard is magical - we spent a fair amount of time there, swimming, grilling/dining, reading/napping. The backyard (and its myriad diversions) even lured our tech-obsessed teenagers away from their devices for extended periods. Everything was well maintained, no detail overlooked. We also enjoyed the access to a peloton bike and workout equipment. The interior was clean, organized, stylish but comfortable. The sunroom and small courtyard off of the bedrooms were great for yoga or stealing a quiet moment with a cup of coffee or book. Sara was responsive and attentive. Instruction booklet was clear and helpful. The stay exceeded our expectations. We hope to be back.

Great location on Santana Row with cafes and restaurants within a short walk. We only used the kitchen for breakfast. It was suitable for other meals, too. The two BRs and two BAs were useful. Note that the 3rd bed is upstairs next to the master. We enjoyed relaxing on the couch and watching TV.

all great accept there were only one trash bag... I had buy some trash bag.. and need to upgrade fry pan. we couldn't do egg fry due to stuck on the pan. other than that need little touch up with paints... hahaha 😆 😂 Great location and great house...

The home matched our expectations from the listing. We cooked almost every meal at home and the kitchen had all of the appliances and kitchenware we needed. Tom was also very responsive and had simple check-in and check-out instructions. We would definitely stay here again.

A very nice location with many super markets (whole food, Walmart etc.) nearby. The place is neat and clean with all the things you need. The host is very kind and responsive.

Jose and Gabriella’s beautiful home exceeded my already heightened expectations after reading the reviews. The pictures do not capture the thought and care they've poured into their property. The kitchen is the heart of this mountain home. It was clearly designed for function and entertaining, and the panoramic view of coastal redwoods was the perfect backdrop for both. It came comprehensively stocked with every imaginable appliance and gadget, including a refrigerator twice the standard size, two full-sized ovens, and a massive island that can comfortably seat ten people. Jose and Gabriella were the perfect hosts, attentive, genuine and pleasant to interact. Easily one of the best Airbnb experiences I've had. I wish I didn’t have to leave, but I look forward to returning soon.

This home and host were great! Mike was quick, responsive and very easy to work with. Their home is beautiful and described very accurately in the posting. Best part is the fantastic back yard and awesome location! Just a walk to Castro St which is filled with shops, great spots to eat and meet friends. We had a great stay here and will likely be back in the future.

Highly recommend this condo located at Rivermark. Great and safe place for family stay! We enjoy the bed and had sound sleep. The host is so responsive and solved out kettle problem quickly. Definitely the to-go choice for stay in Santa Clara/San Jose.

My cats and I absolutely loved our stay! The place had tons of natural light and felt super homey. I even made a few new fur friends around the neighborhood! The host and neighbors were all super friendly with animals, and the whole community felt really safe and welcoming. Honestly, the location, price, and comfort were all spot-on. I’ll definitely be booking this place again next time I’m in South Bay!

We stayed here for a month, and it was a great experience overall! What really stood out was Michael’s kindness and attentiveness - he was incredibly helpful, friendly, and welcoming. He provided lots of essentials for our toddler and even replaced the shower head, which made a huge difference for our extended stay. He was always quick to respond, sent someone to fix things the same day, and restocked kitchen and bathroom essentials whenever needed. The place is in a quiet, safe neighborhood and was spotless - seriously, one of the cleanest Airbnbs we've stayed in! The kitchen is well-stocked, which was perfect since we cooked a lot. You do hear some noise from upstairs during the day, but they keep quiet at night, so it wasn’t an issue for us. Thanks again, Michael, for making our stay so comfortable!

The Caboose was the best! Super easy check in and the place had wood built in the fire pit, a s’mores kit ready, snacks, wine, and even our name on the board. We felt at home immediately. Also although our hosts were out of town, the locals were so kind and checked in on us multiple times. Our kids loved the space and enjoyed the ground immensely and we slept like babies. Highly recommend the caboose to others and hope we can stay again!!

Rezan is one of the best hosts

Quiet apartment spacious enough for a family of five with three teenagers. Easy to get in and out and convenient parking. The apartment was fully stocked with everything you need. Kim was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Santana Row was decorated beautifully for the holidays, which made a lovely extended stay. Thank you Kim.

This was a perfect place to decompress during a busy work trip. The space is beautiful, and the attached gym is such a nice treat! Everything was exactly as described, clean and lovely. I would definitely stay again!

Vijeta and Meenu were wonderful hosts. We enjoyed staying in their beautiful suite and we had a lovely time while in the Campbell, Los Gatos area. It was a delight to stay with them. They were very helpful and very kind. We would love to come back again!

Wonderful stay on Santana Row. The location can’t be beat. Steps away from restaurants and shopping. Plenty of space for the entire family. The outdoor space was a lovely place to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather. We’ll definitely be back!

We hosted a small get together for my partner's birthday and this location was perfect! Everybody loved how many activities were available. The pool was great and the trampoline was a big hit. MaryAnn was a very responsive and gracious host.

Amazing, relaxing home at a great location. The house was clean, had plenty of space and bedding, and lots of extra amenities. Relaxing and quiet for a peaceful stay. Great place to stay if you are attending a game, or convention, or just visiting the area in general.

EJ and Nancy have such a lovely property. We easily felt we had our own space. You can tell that they've been doing this for years, and have a great way of making everything comfortable for guests. Our two kids had space to spread out, the playground is not directly next to the front door of the apartment, but you can see it through the yard's trees & hear them more or less within ear shot. Kitchen was amply supplied and set up, & there are plenty of storage spaces and creature comforts to make the stay feel like home. Beds were comfortable & clean, super comfortable pillows. The unit itself doesn't get a ton of natural light, but to be expected in redwoods. The hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, we had a nice time chatting with them. Wonderful hosts, they felt like family. Their little dog is so so sweet and friendly as well, my kids loved the dog. Great location, easy to get to surrounding areas and Santa Cruz proper. Would return!

This was a good choice for a football game at Levi's stadium. The home was within walking distance and was in safe location. Communication was prompt and helpful. The home had everything we needed for our quick trip. We would stay there again

If you are looking for security, this is the place! The building is locked and the door to the room is very secure. The area feels very safe. Access to onsite amenities is a bonus. Coffee room with free coffee drinks, pool, spa, and BBQs available for use. A self-service Pet Spa if your pet needs a bath! You also have access to the on-site gym. Short drive to many restaurants in Palo Alto, Atherton, and Redwood City. There is limited non-assigned parking on-site. However, we were always able to get a space. Full kitchen, washer and dryer, and WiFi worked well.

A perfect stay for professionals. Vara’s place is cozy, peaceful, and tucked away in the beautiful Los Altos Hills - far from the noise yet still conveniently located. The space was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. Waking up to the quiet surroundings and fresh air was a great way to start the day. Vara was a wonderful host, responsive and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet retreat!
