Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Douro River

Mar was aware of everything at all times, very friendly, although we arrived later than planned did not give us any problems. Thank you! The house is just as seen in the photos, very quiet area and 5 minutes from the village. If you are looking for a quiet place to disconnect and be in nature it is definitely ideal. The only "but" is that the fence of the estate needs arrangements and we could not keep the dogs loose without being aware of them, but it also did not accompany the time for them to be away from home. It has been a great few days, the house is just as it is in the photos, you can see that they strive to make everything well, from the garden that was very cared for, to the kitchenware that was very complete,we went with a dog and had a great time, it met all expectations.

We stayed several days in Guillermo's house with my family and the experience was excellent. From the first moment, Guillermo was always attentive to every detail, making sure we felt at home. The house is very cozy, comfortable and perfect for rest. With lovely views and a great location. We felt very welcome and cared for throughout your stay. Marco was great! He was patient when our train was late and showed us around. The location by the beach was fabulous with lots of great restaurants close by! We appreciated the easy bus to Porto! Marco was also so kind when we forgot an item in the house. We are so grateful for his help!

We loved staying here and would like to again! The house was just as described and within walking distance to local grocery stores and restaurants. I loved waking up to see the beautiful fog roll in over the mountains and a herd of sheep doing their morning grazing. When it rains you can see the river from the balcony and it creates a relaxing sound. We also enjoyed getting cozy in front of the fireplace at night. More than anything, we appreciated António’s mother, who was very sweet and brought us pastries and chocolates. António was very kind and answered any questions we had right away. His father was nice as well! The cleaning service after two weeks was also a lovely touch. This place is a perfect getaway if you are looking to de-stress and be near nature and friendly people. The only thing I will note is if you are coming in winter it can be a bit cold (not surprising-it is winter!) so bring some warmer comfort clothes to wear around the house.

The stay was excellent: The house, the impeccable pool, the surroundings, the vineyards, and the kindness and excellence of the hosts. The vacation days we spent here were ideal. The best on the route. We were next to Amarante, which pleasantly surprised us, and other cities to visit, 1 hour drive away. Thanks Osvaldo and Magdalena and family for being such good hosts!

The house is a privileged location. Always a townhouse. Well connected and properly equipped. We would ask Hanno to put down the garden tools to leave some garden tools to do some gardening that we look forward to. Fruit + huge garden;which if you are encouraged to install a gazebo or barbecue would be the find. We just put an upgrade, stiff box spring or board on the double bed. The mattress is great but it would be fabulous with a box spring or board to make it stiffer. House equipped to cook meals/ dinners/breakfast. Thank you for letting us enjoy your home. Paradisiacal beaches/restaurants and leisure. It's been a few days that we won't forget.

We really enjoyed this home. It is comfortable and with many touches to enjoy quietly. The BBQ area with the pergola is a delight. At all times Noemi has been attentive to what we could need, if everything worked or something was missing. Super recommended!

Everything was perfect, a super quiet town, the house is great, Irene is the best and it's wonderful to go with dogs

The house is very good. The rooms are in the main house and it has another building in which there is a large table and a fully equipped kitchen, with everything you may need, from a fireplace with grills to an industrial kitchen with iron. In the outdoor area it has an area with sofas in which are the billiards and the foosball, ideal for passing the time. Not to forget the ping pong table, the pool, the basketball basket and the football field. Josetxo is very attentive and was attentive to everything, thank you for the cake, the empanada and the bread, everything was very rich. An ideal place to disconnect with friends and even children, since it has everything you need, it is spacious and very comfortable.

A wonderful house, very clean, tidy, comfortable beds and pillows. We were really at ease, we had everything we needed. Unfortunately, the temperatures dropped a little and the pool was cold but great the same. The pool area and bbq of 10. Very friendly hosts. If ae gives the chance, we'll be back. Great vacation in porto, the accommodation played a lot and the hospitality of the hosts too. very beautiful private property in very beautiful and quiet vines. The view is breathtaking and the pool is a real plus. First experience in Portugal and the owners are very welcoming. see you next year!

Great hosts, both of them super attentive at all times. When you arrive, they leave you a really nice welcome gift. You feel right at home, it's super cozy... The house is super big and the pool is great, on hot days it was nice to bathe. You have all the privacy both inside and outside. My daughters say it was their best vacation, we'll definitely be back next year. ☺️☺️

We had a great time at Antonio's place. It had everything we needed and he was a great host. the place is lovely with a private garden and pool with amazing views! we will definitely come again

I can't be more satisfied with the choice of this listing. The house is beautiful, it has a lot of details making the stay perfect. In my case I travel with two small children and there were a lot of games they could enjoy and a jacuzzi that evidently called them a lot of attention. Comfortable mattresses and pillows. I was afraid of being cold but on the contrary, if you do not turn on the pimcheta there is heating. But undoubtedly the best thing is the proximity and kindness of the owner and the person who welcomed us, Berti is a pleasure to have met him and thank you very much

Henrique’s place is as unique and special as it gets. We went there to see the Festa dos Rapazes in nearby Ousilhao for Christmas, which was fantastic, but Mosteirinho, Henrique’s magical oasis in the mountains is a destination all its own. Words can’t really describe- go see it for yourself! Thanks Henrique!

If you're looking for a beautiful, peaceful, and secluded getaway surrounded by nature, this place is absolutely perfect. I loved my weekend escape – even though it was freezing outside, the house was super cozy and warm inside. The only thing to keep in mind is being careful not to overload the generator, but honestly, that was a small detail in an otherwise amazing stay. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to disconnect and relax

Accommodation as described in a peaceful neighborhood, the owners are attentive and responsive if needed. The only negative is that you hear around 7am dogs barking for a short moment.

We loved our stay at Casa do Castor! Easy to reach, with a wonderful view and in a very quiet place. The house was exactly as in the pictures and is quite comfortable! The pool is also very friendly with a beautiful view! Hosts are very helpful! We'll definitely be back! 😊
