A simple bach at the beach to relax and enjoy the view .Great location, awesome sunsets front verandah. Large fenced section .Sheltered bbq area out the back. Handy to Cape bus pickup. Great for families, couples or singles. Awesome spot. All beds made up and plenty of extra linen in the hotwater cupboard to help your self too. Lots of awesome walks handy.Apart from the beach Lake Ngatu is 5mins up the road with its DOC walking track around it.Also forestry/beach walks.

Ferry Landing

Watch the harbour activities and ever changing vista from the deck of our clean and comfortable home. We are situated just above the car ferry on the Russell side of the Opua harbour. The ferry cost is $17 per car & runs a continual service. Or you can walk on for just $2 per person. Please note that although you have sole occupancy of the house, the property has another cottage & resident in it. The driveway is also shared.

The bach was lovely, real kiwi bach also Toni was amazing to deal with and left clear instructions on how to get to the bach as well as checking ourselves in Had everything you possibly would need for a trip away I absolutely loved the place and such an awesome area! The beach would be perfect for kids or swimmers who aren't to confident as the waves aren't strong at all but also have the option of a short walk to the end of the beach to a big shallow area with very little to no waves I really recommend this little bach, I fell in love and definitely would stay again!!

Unique location above the marina. It was great to spend time on the deck watching the comings and goings of all the boats. The place was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The Marina Cafe across the carpark had great meals that we ate there two nights in a row. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

What an amazing little cottage on the water to relax and enjoy New Zealand's beauty! Perfect little spot to catch up with nature and see so many species of birds all around. The cottage even had fresh picked flowers when we arrived to make it even more magical. We can not wait to return to the cottage on our next trip back to New Zealand. The host Anna was wonderful and very responsive our entire stay! She helped us out and checked in on us during our stay to see if we needed anything. Thank you so much Anna, you were amazing.

Amazing views over the Bay Of Islands from the north facing sun filled deck. The apartment was super clean and comfortable in every space. Fresh fruit, warm bread, home made continental breakfast supplied daily was a nice treat to wake up to each day. We 100% recommended staying here and would certainly stay again. What a pleasant "mishap" that we ended up staying in Opua! We originally intended to stay on the Treaty Grounds, but due to Waitangi Day it was full. I stumbled onto this wonderful waterfront home, and am so glad I did! Opua is the cutest waterfront town - not much in terms of dining or shopping (none!), but we took the ferry to Russell directly from here, and did the lovely Opua/Pahia waterfront walk. Also, a 10 minute drive to Pahia for all kinds of grocery stores and restaurants. We made sure to just spend one evening eating a simple meal on the deck, overlooking the beautiful bay and passing boats. The place is well-stocked, clean, and cute, with a bonus washer/dryer. As others have stated, the driveway is tricky but not un-doable. And there are many steps up to the front door. Didn't take away from our wonderful stay here, ON the water!!! Loved it!
