Places to stay in Doswell

Perfect for our visit to Mechanicsville to see family. Everything was laid out well, clean, and spacious.

Wonderful weekend stay right on the river. Easy access to the hazel river, Shenandoah national park, as well as some short trails right on the property. Spectacular views from every window and multiple decks. It’s easy to sit and read a book while listening to the peaceful sounds. This property is beautiful with everything you need to feel right at home. It felt more like a home than a rental property. It was well decorated and somewhere you actually want to spend time vs drop your stuff and head out. We enjoyed our stay, and plan to return.

This property was wonderful. We came for Christmas together and it was perfect. The kitchen was well appropriated. The bedrooms were nice. There is one bathroom, but it is accessible from the master. The back is really large. If it were summer, you could cookout and kids could play games. It's perfect.

Was a lovely place to stay in downtown historic Fredericksburg. Walking distance to many restaurants, shops, and historical tours. Comfortable bed, great amenities and wonderful videos that the host sent to us with anything we possibly would need to know about the apartment and the area.

This was my second time staying at Lesa’s cottage and it was as wonderful as the first time. The cottage is gorgeous on the inside and the outside surroundings are so beautiful and peaceful. Lesa is a perfect host. She checked in on me periodically to make sure I had everything I needed to feel at home. I wish my stay had been longer.

Such a unique and peaceful experience! The kids were in love with all the hidden gems and the swings. Their dog joined us on a walk down to the river and he was just the BEST dog - it really added to the experience! Such a cool place to stay. It was pretty cold the night we stayed and we were still warm and cozy with the provided space heater, heated mattress and blankets. You can tell they put a ton of thought into every thing and we appreciated all the details embedded everywhere. Super friendly when we arrived but also gave us space. I'm glad we found this place - one of the coolest experiences!

I had an enjoyable stay at Dan and Donna's Air BnB. The listing/pictures represented the actual accommodation very well. Dan and Donna were very communicative and proactive in making sure I had a comfortable stay. If traveling to the Fredericksburg area as a single person or couple, this space is ideal.

Henry’s place was very clean and comfortable. Check in was easy and Henry was responsive throughout our stay. Would definitely stay here again if we’re ever in the area.

Brittany’s place was great. It’s just like the pictures (the only thing we didn’t realize from the listing was that it’s a duplex). This worked just fine for our large group, though. Brittany was super responsive ahead of check in and very helpful overall. She even offered to put up a Christmas tree for us and left ornaments for us to decorate. We’d definitely stay here or at any other of her places in the future!
