House vacation rentals in Dolphin Sands

We had an amazing stay and it made our Easter break great! Our host was so helpful and we really appreciated his thoughtful advice. We fully recommend this place to anyone wanting a great break on Tassie’s east coast.

R's house is very warm and lovely, equipped with everything you could need. We slept very well. Highly recommend their house!

Perfection. Attention to detail- even in the kitchen…we had all the dishes and utensils necessary to cook like a chef at the house! There are even pantry items there- so check on that before running to the grocery store in town because we bought doubles in some things. I’m sure the selections in the pantry will vary. In addition, there may be garden produce ready for the picking!! Make sure and check with the host first- that will be seasonal, I’m sure. Beds are comfortable, showers have hot water, tub with jets is helpful after a day of sight-seeing. As owner notes, it isn’t hot, just warm…but it was still a good experience. Decks overlook bay/ocean- you get to witness the changing colors of the Hazards throughout the day standing over the bay. And if you are wondering- we saw amazing Aurora lights out over the water! Windows everywhere! Just incredible’views- there are no words. And you boy minutes from Swansea. Host has a book with restaurant suggestions. Grocery.❤️

The lodge was perfect for our extended family weekend, it’s not fancy but ideal and safe for young children. 2 living areas, a big kitchen and enough seating for everyone including an outdoor steaming the garage and a furious with wood supplied. The facilities at the estate were great and kept the adults and kids busy and entertained. Tash was a wonderful host

Secluded. Peaceful. Great place to remember to slow down and see the good in the world. We spent most of our time watching the wallabies, taking strolls on the beach, and curling up on the couch. Quite possibly one of the best trips we have ever taken!

Owen’s place is spacious, and he’s a helpful and responsive host. Not only did he provide clear check-in instructions, but he also thoughtfully prepared kindling for the fire, which made our stay feel warm and created a special moment for intergenerational conversation between my kids and my parents-in-law. Another highlight was the kitchen—well-stocked with all the essentials and more. We were especially grateful for the thoughtful inclusion of food items that suited my in law’s needs. The fully equipped laundry was also a great bonus, making it easy for us to stay comfortable throughout the trip. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time to enjoy everything the house offers, including the sports facilities. As our family said, we truly wished we could’ve stayed longer. Hopefully, we’ll have the chance to revisit next time!

Absolutely stunning. If you’re wanting to escape to the peace and beauty of Freycinet this is the place. Outside bath is not to miss.

The view from the front deck is worth a million dollars. The cabin was a rustic treat. Homely and welcoming (but be careful of extremely hot water and keep the door closed to mosquitos!) The stillness and peace was what this venue is all about, great walking and highly the fish and chip shop in the town centre. Freycinet, what a place!

Wonderful stay. All you could ask for with all the amenities you need. Great location and really comfortable beds and bedding. Wendy’s place was spotless, everything was sparkling.

Great place. Very clean, comfy beds, excellent facilities, modern decor - seems to have been recently renovated. Easy walk to local attractions. Kate is very easy to communicate with and left bread, milk, tea and coffee (and even 2 icy poles!). We loved our stay - thanks.

We stayed for 3 nights with 4 adults and 4 children under 5. The home was perfect for our travelling party as it accommodate the kids as well as the adults. We loved the open living space, it allowed the kids to have room to spread out. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms very clean. We’d stay here again if we were to visit Bicheno.

Damien's place was as clean, tidy, with comfortable beds and well located within easy walking of local shops and eateries. Perfect for our short stay with family.

An incredible stay in a beautiful spot and a beautiful house! There was much to explore and keep us occupied within walking distance of the house which had all the things you need and more. It was genuinely so clean and tidy and really felt like home. One day we'll be back!

What a wonderful space our hosts have created - gorgeous decor and furnishings in such a serene setting. We loved every minute - thoughtful touches on arrival such as music playing and a beautiful diffuser creating a wonderful ambience along with a surprise gift to be opened upon departure were not expected but greatly appreciated. All of the outside amenities were spotless and we wish we had more time to try out the pizza oven and fire pit, but made good use of the sauna and hot tub and can't wait to return in the future. We highly recommend everything about our stay.

Beautiful home in fantastic location right on the beach front of Coles Bay. The house has a very fresh, relaxed atmosphere. Great spot for the family or couples to stay. The host provides great local recommendations and is very helpful. Lovely basket of treats on arrival as well which added a lovely touch! I would highly recommend staying here. :-)

This was a great place for a family gathering of 2 couples, 4 singles and 3 children. We all found beds (with a bit of adaptability)over the 5 sleeping rooms The gathering areas were good also, with two slightly separate seating areas within the one big space so the chn could play on their screens away from us. The table tennis table was also a great hit. It was lovely that all 11 of us could sit around the dining table for meals. Outside sitting areas were also very comfortable. The beach was just a bit of a walk from the back door through a well defined bush track. Swansea provided a great IGA for meal prep and a nice coffee shop or two. A lovely holiday. We were all hoping for an escape and time to reset. Svens and Lisa have made a beautiful retreat for families or couples just wanting to get away from it all and enjoy what the location has to offer. I can’t speak highly enough of how much effort they have gone to, to make you feel welcome. It is all the little things that you don’t expect that surprise you. They have obviously traveled themselves and remember what it was like. From a family perspective, there is an abundance of things to keep them entertained or just out of your hair. Parents will love it just as much as kids will. The beach is just a few steps through the sand to pristine conditions and for most part you have 9 miles of it to yourself. I wish we had stayed longer.

Peppermint Tree cottage was delightful. Maria and Paul present the cottage beautifully. The fireplace ready to warm our evenings. Morning sun in the new kitchen, with everything that we needed. Afternoon sun warms the bathroom, deck and kitchen. It was just what we were looking for. Very comfy and cosy on the cool Tassie nights. We loved our stay at Peppermint Tree cottage. Ash n Jill
